You are saying it will push off west from a projection 3 days ago?
So, it will push off west to Lake Charles? Like the projections are showing right now.

I haven’t looked at the map since then.
But these threads are great because everyone “hates” Hurricanes ...
It’s ok to admit they’re fun.

Or they are a way of making the best of a shitty situation while still staying informed.

Looks like that might be it for Marco. The mid-level vort continues to move NE with the associated convective burst. That creates a stretching of the vort and can basically drag the LLC for a period of time but the quick NW turn and rapid pressure rise suggest a full decoupling is occurring.

Well GFS might be more east on their run this time.

Nice. So just some medium-heavy rain for SELA?
Low chance for tornados and such?

And the GFS run agrees. Basically gone by the time it is just off Grand Isle tomorrow evening (21 hours from now).

Latest GFS for Laura is very similar to its 06z run this morning.

Basically a 100-125 mile swing east on the GFS

If we get hit by a category 3 Laura, I’m dreading of sweating my arse off waiting for the power to come back on for who knows how many days. I pray everybody stays safe out there.

Image was for Marco dying by tomorrow night. GFS for Laura does have a Cameron / Holly Beach landfall.

Power restoration will be much slower too because of the fricking pandemic. The crews are only working with 1 person at a time. At least they are for Entergy. Going to be a pain in the arse.
