Some friends sold their house in Champion Forest last year and moved down to Tiki Island. If Laura comes in to Galveston as a Cat 4 they're going to be wiped out.

When she left ktbs in Shreveport, I stopped watching. My wife asked me why I suddenly stopped watching the morning news.

And I guess Marco is missing Louisiana completely except the coast? And Laura is gonna frick up Lake Chuck? Any chance she shifts east at all?

I'm sure this has been stated before, probably many times, but it's worth repeating. The meteorological professionals (we know who they are) contributing to these threads and to this board are worth their weight in gold and well deserving of the respect given them. Pretty damn selfless people IMO. I post infrequently but follow their analysis and commentary closely. This is a personal thanks for the time they put in keeping the rest of us in the loop and safer for it. Many thanks.

Yes. Also a chance she shifts west.

The Euro ensembles pretty much have it covered.

ETA, not being a smartass. Still plenty of uncertainty, but getting better by the hour.

So Marco is feeling the struggle now. Shear is doing it's work.

One thing to watch is if Marco fires some downshear convection and tries to wrap it around. This wouldn't indicate significant strengthening or anything, more just resistance to weakening faster.

Me either, there's no reason to. The information here is as accurate and up to date as is possible to get.

My comment is just asking how many people in this thread have actually ridden out a hurricane and where did they do it?

rode out Andrew and Katrina in Montegut (south of Houma)

we were in the dry side, but Katrina’s winds were no freaking joke.

Anyone who missed her spot this evening missed what just might have been the best looking news girl ever seen.

Skin tight white outfit.

I heard nothing she said
