Someone posted a 5 day projection earlier that showed around 5".

Not terrible.

Might not be that bad. Street flooding is my only concern. I took in water during that pre Barry storm last year. I think it was 7 inches in three hours.

The front right quadrant relative to forward motion is the worst.

For LA, that’s the NE.

For somewhere like the eastern coast of FL, that would be the NW quadrant.

Advice needed here. I will be driving from Beaumont Tx towards Tennessee. Will I be able to drive from Beaumont to Jackson MS monday evening without any issues. Will the roads be closed?

I doubt the roads will be closed but if you’re worried about it, get off of I10 in Iowa and take Hwy 165 to Monroe then I20 to Jackson.

I'd be more afraid of being in Jackson than a hurricane.

Leave a day early and avoid both.

I think Rummy's under the impression that hurricanes only travel North.

So your post this morning was right on spot.

He is rarely wrong and same for our other resident storm gurus. I put more faith in what they say than these talking heads on TV. Them guys all have agendas one way or the other. The guys here just want to get the TD posters good info.

If there is anyone that can handle two back to back hurricanes it is the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board.

Well, they're batting 1.000 this week...

What's REALLY going to suck is that Entergy's not even going to think about getting power back on until the second storm passes and finishes wrecking shite.
