Maybe some of the Mardi Gras Krewes should look into having their parades in Baton Rouge too. How about Jazz Fest?

The only thing that will checkmate her in the immediate future is a recall petition.

She will win re-election in a landslide because she is black. The very low IQ voters in New Orleans are sad.

If it were closer to election season then I'd be doubtful but yeah, we're over a year away.

People will have forgotten about this by then.

It depends on both counts. The people will vote however the media tells them to. She's got the edge by being the incumbent, and people have disgustingly short memories, but she's only in office because the old boys club thought she was the lesser of two evils.

Whoever they throw their money behind next time will win. She has the spring to make up for this year's idiocy. How well she grovels and what she gives the folks that really have the power will be the deciding factor.

And nothing like a mayor surrounded by what appear to be incompetents getting paid $180,000 to $300,000 a year courtesy of the taxpayers

Covid will still be here in the Spring amd don’t think there isn’t a massive fight coming over Mardi Gras, lazy fest, FQF etc. She isn’t groveling for anything. These double down Covid restrictions are pandering to her base to say “I worked to save your live they didn’t care if you lived or died”.
