A plan from Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s administration would allow the superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department to deputize civilian employees of some city departments to issue citations for certain quality of life municipal violations.

The plan would allow the deputization of employees from the Department of Public Works, Department of Sanitation, the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the Ground Transportation Bureau and the Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board.
Those deputized employees would have the ability to issue citations on a wide range of local laws that mostly revolve around garbage collection, illegal dumping, blocking the public drainage system, overgrown weeds, public right-of-way obstructions, rodent control and tour guide regulations.

So what she is really wanting is the ability for her friends to write tickets to white people.

Got it!

I thought this was going to be about mask, but I will be honest. I don't have a problem with trash control.

Not gonna lie. If I am deputized I will so badly abuse what little power I am given that the program will be disbanded within a week.

I will start with my focus on Louisiana Avenue Parkway.

A citation is more like a warning right?

I would camp out on that street like my life depended on it....

And I'd write Glassman a ticket every morning and afternoon for letting his dog shite in my front yard

They can't even get their trash contractor to make regular pickups that residents are paying for.

Something about glass houses and throwing stones

Does DaDestroya even bother to talk to her Legal Department before opening her mouth and letting ideas like this fly?

There are so, so, so many reasons this is a terrible idea.

Not sure if I support, but I can tell you in no way should police officers be dealing with these petty issues.
