Bailout money is much easier to squander and steal. I have no doubt in my mind this bitch will be on trial at some point when she's finally out of office.

The Saints just assured she won’t today by negotiating with LSU to move their home games to TS. Matt Moscona just had a rant about it and was spot on in thanking the Saints, LSU, etc. for calling her out on failing to do what has been in the city’s best interests for far too long.

Her strategy from day 1 was to play for aide to bail her out. Has absolutely no regard for the businesses that will not make it. Sad state of affairs in NOLA with her at the helm.

My view is from a distance, but this is how it appears to me also. Zero concern for small business and determined to prove her power. Demanding respect doesn't earn respect.

We know, Latoya. You're mayor. We get it. Now can you please do your job and make it inhabitable for businesses again so it can once again be a 'destination spot?"

Please, Ms. Mayor.

That's all she wants, fed money and for her peoples to recognize the almighty mayor.

She’s a fricking idiot and her strategy will never work.

I feel bad for the city of NOLA but the state shouldn’t bail them out. Let the citizens reap what they sow. Elections have consequences.

Yep. Hate to trivialize this, but this is akin to a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. The toddler needs to learn a lesson here that burning a city and ruining the lives of those living there is not how you are going to get your way.

I don't understand why people can't understand this. If it fails, it fails. They asked for this, let them have it. Bailing them out is doing nothing more than condoning such behavior and voting habits. Let NO become a third world country.

Cut to the marrow. What an ignorant California thing to say.

I guess she didn't notice when the skin was pealed off,
when the fine layer of fat melted away, when the muscles were ripped off and with them the tendons and nerves.

Bone...and inside it marrow. All those months of money wasted by workers who weren't working.

Such an opportunity lost to do the basic repairs that NOLA needs....

And for the people that had nothing to do with it?

You don’t hate to trivialize it. You dove right in and had a good time.
