What is up with NOLA and it's mayor's? I didn't think it would get more dumb than chocolate city, but now you got frayance.
No other city has more quotable leadership.

I love how she called herself "the ultimate ambassador for the city of New Orleans"
Given the state that New Orleans is in these days, that's actually pretty accurate.

In case anyone missed the news conference here is a brief summary from someone you would assume voted for Cantrell
Sorry it's a TikTock video but still worth the watch

She made great points, but was almost unintelligible. It's a crying shame black people rail so hard against education. It's very important.

Having a heavy NOLA accent doesn’t make her uneducated. I actually think she got her points across pretty well.

That's not an accent...it's a vernacular. And it stems from being under educated.

Have you ever listened to Chief Ferguson speak?

It’s a TikTok and you’re probably not her target audience.

Seriously? Well that changes everything.

Disagree that she’s under educated. She made very good points. That’s the speech of everyone around her, and saying that it’s a sign of her being under educated is the same as Yankees saying that Cajuns or Southerners are undereducated bc they have an accent and vernacular. A poster with the name CajunHawk should be wary of that

Lol I’m not arguing with you I was just making a statement that she’s just reporting to local people. I’ve never seen or heard of her before.

I can't believe one goddamn reporter in that room didn't ask her why it is more dangerous for her to fly in coach as opposed to business class.

What should we be wary aware with your screen name? The vernacular they've created directly stems from hesitancy to sound educated. Whereas, Cajun ancestors had a distinct lack of education due to several factors. It's apples to urrunges.

So the one guy who kept pressing her on why she went to DC to try to get them to lift the consent decree was the TikTocker's cousin DJ. Props to the guy, he kept repeating it over and over and really pissed Destroya and her entourage off.
