Not only would would she not address reporters, she kicked them out when they asked questions! Oh, the horror of a reporter asking a question.

WDSU Investigates tried to ask Cantrell about her travel at a photo opportunity for a separate unrelated event.

"Reporters were not allowed to ask question. When WDSU Investigates did try to ask questions, microphones were taken from the table and reporters were dismissed from the event."

Her lodging and meal expenses for that trip were not provided, nor was her travel party.

Man, she really just DGAF and is gonna lash out at anyone who questions anything about her.

Here's what I don't get. Why do the democrats insist on failing in a city that has been theirs for 100 years?

Because they place more importance on having a black politician in office than on having the right politician in office. Too many black people feel like with a person who shares their skin color at the helm, they'll be saved. History has contradicted that for quite some time but it doesn't matter. We are 2 generations at minimum away from this correcting itself.

Cantrell also talked about what she referred to as disrespect for her and her position, alluding to some recent public rifts with other council members.

The biggest problem with LA politics is they treat leaders like kings. She would die up here. They're rough on politicians.

The politicians in Louisiana think they're Kings and Queens. They get super offendend when you question them or attempt to hold them accountable for being frick ups. Legends in their own minds.

They idiotically think all their identify-based "First [insert race/gender] elected!" is the same as the best. And often it's the worst.

But hey, gotta check those boxes.

Seeing as they’ve pissed away opportunities to improve themselves, advance, right “wrongs” over multiple generations already, what makes you think they’ll get caught up in just two more?

As much as I hate Dementia Joe, I hate Destroya even more. Even though I don't find it as an excuse, at least he can say he's old as frick.

Destroya is just a fricking idiot. Looking forward to seeing a video of her get drunk as frick and start fights with innocent Nola citizens. Again

Member when folks on the O-T (mostly from New Orleans) were saying there was no way she'd win re-election and arguing with those of us saying she was going to win again in a landslide? Which she did. That was awesome.

If you go by voting history trends, black people are pretty racist.

The mayor of a major US city said this.

Chew on that for a second.
