unpopular restrictions again might be a blessing in disguise for NOLA because hopefully it hurts her re-election chances

Serious question:

Has any mayor in this country NOT been re elected due to his/her/zis lockdowns, etc?

Latoya has given her constituents countless reasons to not re-elect her. Yet, she will still win. I can’t stand it, as a tax-paying property owner in Orleans Parish.

Whats the deal with this delta variant? If you are vaccinated does it not protect you as much from this delta variant? If not then why do all of this shite? If people don't want to get vaccinated and they get sick who cares? Its time to put this shite behind us.

Its running through the unvaccinated like crazy, especially the kids, but I agree.....at this point, the focus needs to be finding those who want to be vaccinated and don't know how or can't because of transportation issues, etc and not trying to convince those who have the ability but no desire.

"A PBS poll last week showed that around half of U.S. men who identify as Republican say they have no plans to get the vaccine. That’s compared to approximately 30 percent of Americans overall who say they would decline the shot. Around 87 percent of Democrats surveyed said they would get the shot or had already gotten it.

Bridgeland says at the beginning of the pandemic there was understandably a great deal of focus on hesitancy within communities that were hardest hit by the disease, like Black and Latino communities. But, he says, as new data emerges, it becomes clear that White conservatives are also hesitant to get vaccinated. He says it’ll be important to make sure the issue of getting vaccinated doesn’t get politicized, like what happened to wearing a mask.

We have to appeal to the fact that the best way to emerge with more freedom – to see our friends and family, go to church, baseball games, work – is to get the facts and make the choice, hopefully get vaccinated so we can all return to a better life,” Bridgeland said."

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - State health officials announced they will stop tracking the Epsilon variant strain on its dashboard after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention de-escalated its status.

The Department of Health Services reports the CDC deescalated the Epsilon variant, originally found in California, from a variant of concern to a variant of interest. The de-escalation is due to the decrease in the proportion of the variant circulating nationally. Data also indicates that vaccines and treatments are effective against this variant, DHS added.

Yes as the poster above stated, Cantrell doesn’t even have a firm grip on the English language.

I’m not sure what the point of inventing the word “ta-two” was versus just saying “two”.

She is a mental midget.

What's your source? Really, if it's legit I will change my mind until then I'll stick with a doctors advice.

Guys, the average doctor doesn't know shite about this. In fact, very few do unless they've taken the time to read widely about it just like the rest of us. Epidemiology is not very complicated for the most part.

not true at all

As you can see, the age in cases is following the exact same trends as always

For reference
0-4 brown
5-17 red
18-29-yellow
30-39- green
40-49-grey
50-59-purple
60-69 pink
70+ orange

Not everyone who has covid tests. This is nothing new, especially with a symptomatic kids or kids with very mild symptoms like fatigue or a temp of 99.0.

And what does this have to do with the fact you are 100% wrong that children are making up more of the positive tests with this variant?
