Oh no they sell it, Iran paid top dollar for the "newest" air defense system Russia has. It doesnt work against stealth enabled aircraft.
Iran does not have the S-400. They have the S-300.

The last 22 years should have seen further integration of Russia and the EU.
Integration is always a better option than the inverse. With integration, you smooth out geopolitical issues, but have to treat the entire unit as though it was a distinct federalized entity. It is frankly amazing that France and Germany, former foes, who had fought 3 major wars between one another in the preceding 70 years, came together in the 50's to propose economic union. There was a picture of Macron and Merkel in 2018, holding hands as they were at some WWI memorial, that I find deeply moving, in part because whatever the discontents are with integration, it's still a far better solution than repeating the same geopolitical exercise over and over and over, century after century, for transient gain.

would be fascinated to see the results. We bet on stealth. The Russian put their money into electronic warfare and air defense systems.

Does the f35 even work yet?

Sorry for the rant, just get irritated when I see people question the value of spending the time and money conducting training with foreign nations.
Don't be. Great post.

F22is obviously a big pile of shite. No reason why it has never been used extensively.

Try being on a staff ride of officers and senior NCOs from both US and German units, going through the various battles of Operation Market Garden city to city in the Netherlands over the course of a week. One of the most surreal and best experiences of my time in Europe.

@sentdefender Ukrainian Intelligence Officials are reporting that they have begun to see preparations by the Russian Government to Evacuate the Families of Russian Soldiers and other Russian Citizens from the Moldovan Breakaway Region of Transnistria over the last week.
Also Ukraine blockaded the border crossing into the region and Transnistrian officials accuse Ukraine of flying an armed drone over its territory earlier today as well.

The Ukrainians found it overturned and abandoned a few weeks ago. The “ruscists” had high tailed it. Couldn't believe what they had found.

Not to mention I also have a unique perspective on WWII. All of my family in WWII fought for Germany. Great Grandfather was a Destroyer Captain. Numerous Grand Uncles in the Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht, and KriegsMarine.
Made for good times in elementary and middle school when we discussed what your family did during WWII.
Grandpa was deployed to Germany and met my grandmother. A tale told all over Germany from the 1950s until today.

I would've thought they would have done that on Feb 24. Mind boggling you could still cross between Ukraine and a Russian puppet quasi state all this time.

F22 is a ducking total pos. i think even the navy tried to kill it or slow it down years ago hoping for something better but some key congressman pushed it forward for the contractors built in it in their district.

Anybody know much about the Phoenix Ghost drone that the US is sending to Ukraine? Never heard of it until today. Supposedly it can fly for hours seeking out targets.

We had a guy i cut yards for when I was a kid who was a german africa-corp solider. He and a small squad had a bunch of american prisoners and got cut off at some remote desert post and never received orders to leave etc, so they just guarded them for the whole war and they all got to be friends, played cards etc the whole time and after the war, the Americans helped him relocate to America. (I always kinda thought they all just opted out of the war after getting abandoned for a year or so but Germans are serious about orders so who knows

Tell me you know nothing without telling me you know nothing…..
And another clueless soul enters the fray.
When the F-22 was about to go operational the military pilot running the show was told to pick the five best Eagle drivers (F-15 pilots) he knew for a 5 vs 1 air intercept training mission. Five of the very best F-15 pilots our nation had against a single Raptor
The Raptor “killed” all FIVE F-15’s without them getting a single shot/missile.
So yeah…. total POS that Raptor is… (insert clueless emoji)

As best I can tell it's brand new, built with off the shelf technology and designed specifically for the Ukraine battlefield environment.

And this, my friends, is the worst fighter plane take of all time…..right down to the Navy rejecting a plane that was never designed for aircraft carriers.

I think this is evidence for how quickly the US can react to technological needs. Anyone who doesn’t think that we have hypersonic missiles that are already far superior to anything the Russians and Chinese have probably also thinks that Israel doesn’t have nuclear weapons.

Today, the #Estonian Parliament will consider a proposal to the government to withdraw its signature on the 2014 border treaties with #Russia.
After the Soviet occupation, the county of #Petserimaa, as well as the Narva suburb were taken away from #Estonia.
I realize Russia is getting all they want in Ukraine, it’s logical for these nations to see their opportunity, they have ample NATO assets in and near country but lack of retaliation to this probably requires logical thought. I’m not sure how guaranteed that is given the last 2-3 months, particularly if a power vacuum in Russia is created with an incapacitated Putin or potentially no Putin if supposed surgery does not go well.
