Biden’s had a horrible year but I’m not sure what any President would do differently in this crisis. Are we suggesting America should send troops in to defend Ukraine?

Would have argued with you until I was blue in the face back in the day.

I am no longer blind. If all you did was discuss our blunders in Iraq that would be enough for me.

The Marne slipped my mind, but if they had known how bad it was actually going to get, the Germans would have stormed Paris and ended this shite show before it got really out of control. So yeah the Germans and French realized it before the Brits, but I still don’t think they realized the true severity of the war they were engaging in 1914.

Saw someone reporting that, after today, the "Ghost of Kyiv" is the first confirmed ace since World War II. Were there any aces in Korea or Vietnam?

The fact is we’re in this situation in the first place. If the shite show in Afghanistan didn’t take place, this wouldn’t either. It’s no coincidence China started fortifying every barge they could find the day after the Fall of Kabul. China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are working together on this.

Theres no reason why we should have even sorta listened to Ukraine when they wanted NATO. Ukraine is what, the poorest european country on a per capita basis? Not to mention the laughable state of their military. They gave us and NATO nothing and listening to them created this shite show

No, we should not under any circumstance commit troops to this. But we should have played this situation a lot better and doing so probably keeps this from happening

Nah. It was before that. The Battle of the Frontiers was an absolute massacre for the French army when they attempted to execute Plan XVII (their planned invasion of Germany). 27,000 French soldiers were killed on August 22, 1914 alone - the bloodiest day of the war as far as killed in action went for either side.

People will frame it as weak/strong, but I truly believe the main reason Putin was kept in check under Trump was Trump’s unpredictability. We all have that friend that you just don’t frick with because you never know if they’re joking or serious.

Biden, like many presidents before him (other than Trump) is entirely predictable, and Putin can pretty accurately guess the consequences of his actions under this administration.

I do not. Would not support Russia for any reason. Period.

And I do not support this administration either.

The dems will say since you don't support the potato in chief you support Putin.

They are so predictable.

BS. You have been wishing death and harm on people for years. You have praised Putin to the extent of supporting them. Now that the OT doesn't agree with you are reversing your stance. You crave thumbs ups and likes and are the epitomy of what is wrong with certain corners of our population that has nothing to do with political affiliation. Seriously dude please get off the grid for multiple days and enjoy some of our great national parks... Primitive backpacking not pulling up your truck and cranking up a generator to watch news in a state park.

Again, you’ve got your head in the sand.

If Putin backed down Wednesday, quite a few people around here would have melted.

It’s no different than when Trump was president.

Holy hell man, the only thing that turned a lot of people on to Trump is because he didn't get us involved in international BS because it felt like a peace through strength policy.

I don't give a frick what party you run under, or how much of a douche or freak you are, if you keep the peace and don't wreck the economy then I support you.

This dude is openly braindead and its disingenuous, D or R, to say otherwise

Yes. Robin Olds, the father of modern American fighter tactics was a triple ace. WW2, Korea, and Vietnam.

Several in Korea, at least one in Vietnam, Robin Olds. I'm sure there are some Israeli aces, maybe even some from the Indo-Pak war.

That Ukraine disarm and everyone agrees that Ukraine in NATO is totally off the table.

People on the news have already been laying out what is going to happen (sanctions, outrage, acceptance).
