Keystone was not sending oil for the USA to lie chase. It was going elsewhere

Keystone XL was an additional pipeline. But there are several pipelines that ship Canadian oil to the US. Alberta wanted the pipeline so because Canada lacks the infrastructure to refine that particular crude oil.

Thanks for the civil answers aboot the Canadian oil. Further looking reveals pipelines from South middle Asia are connected to everywhere in Europe. I guess it is all up to placing orders and opening valves.
Speaking of Alberta oil. My wife's college roommate married a guy from Ft. McMurray. They became the King and Queen of rental homes up there. Nice people.
