War mongering piece of shite Adam Kinzinger trying to start WWIII again:
Belarus is not in a Warsaw Pact. Belarus should become a legitimate target by NATO if this is true. It’s a way to indirectly respond without directly attacking Russia.
Attacking a Russian proxy state is effectively attacking Russia. He knows this though so I’m not giving him the benefit of the doubt of being stupid.

Excellent piece. Xi is an absolute realist and by now has seen that what Putin promised him last month about a blitzkrieg was just fantasy. What is not fantasy is the fact that this event has shifted global power dynamics more that anything since 1945. In this new order, China will have two options: be allied with the United States and the West or pay the price. And after Ukraine, that price is unaffordable.
Yeah, the big silver lining to this shite show is it will make China play more cautiously on the world stage. I’m starting to come to the conclusion that China will not invade Taiwan due to this. That would be an even more difficult invasion and the West would actively consider WWIII over that one instead of playing as cautiously as we are now.

He might actually be right about this. We all know the limits of all of the major powers. We would never allow Ukraine in NATO because we know what this warm water port means to Russian national security. They would go all the way to attain and sustain it - even if it means launching nukes.
While Russia has a valuable pipeline running through Belarus, and they would bitch and moan about anything we do there, I don't think Putin starts WW3 over Belarus.

As Kinzinger would say, "Hey, lets find out!"

That MIGHT isn’t worth risking World War III.

Not sure who the blue checkmark is, but the Warsaw Pact hasn't been around in roughly 30 yrs

He’s a Congressman, so he obviously shouldn’t be saying this shite.

What does blue checkmark stand for? I see it used some in posts

I'm definitely NOT in favor of invading or attacking Belarus, but . . .
If our reaction to everything is to say we're scared of Russia using nukes, then we've pretty much agreed to let Putin and his successors do what they want and take what they want. All they have to do is convince us they MIGHT use nukes if we object to anything they do or do anything they don't like and it's carte blanche for the Russians.

Well, eventually, you have to call Putin’s move. But it’s the hope of NATO to establish some norm that regards the border surrounding the NATO as sacrosanct.
If Putin decides to test that border, we will have to respond.
Edit: If need be, we would probably let Finland fall. Don’t know about our cooperating allies in the Pacific though. Probably would jump in if Japan or Australia were under attack.

Verified account by Twitter. Generally represents a well known figure like a member of the media who’s credentials are verifiable, famous people, and state officials. It’s commonly used as a barometer of trustworthiness of source, but folks like CNN and Iran’s president are verified.

Russian aviation industry is fricked
Bermuda decertified half of Russia's 1500 commercial airliners, meaning legally they cannot take or land anywhere, subject to immediate impoundment outside of Russia.
Boeing and the Chinese have cut off access to parts, and lack of maintenance will torpedo even domestic flights sooner rather than later

Interesting that Russia has shifted to actually honoring and allowing agreed upon humanitarian corridors to operate.
@phildstewart
Until the past 36-48 hours the Russians attacked more evacuation efforts than they allowed through.

(Reuters) - Ukraine was able to evacuate more than 5,550 people from front-line cities on Sunday via nine humanitarian corridors, deputy prime minister Iryna Vereshchuk said in a video statement.

Something tells me that this is not the fight China wants to pick.
They’ve probably re-assessed their own military since the Russian debacle and have uncovered their own shortcomings.

Russia must be truly desperate asking China for assistance when their logistics breakdowns are due in large part to shitty Chinese tires.
