I couldn't even follow the Invasion of Iraq in 2003 on a tactical level and it was the most covered war in history and that is as a former Infantry officer who was there the previous decade.
The absolute best you can hope for is a strategic view and that is at the mercy of countries with high-level intelligence. The upper levels of the US military almost certainly have excellent strategic views of the battlefield with the occasional glimpse into the granular tactical situations in limited areas.
With well over 100,000 soldiers and tens of thousands of vehicles across 100s of miles of terrain we just aren't going to get the detail we crave.
