Meh. I still think the sanctions will be lifted a few months after Russia finally wins the war. We’ll make a show of supporting whatever insurgency pops up for a few months and then abandon them.
Sounds about right for the time frame. Takes a couple of months to set up new money laundering accounts for our politicians and lobbyists.

Like I stated in the other thread, if you aren’t full bore “ra ra” with your blue and yellow pompoms, you are a “Poutine” lover.
And if you're not full bore "Zelensky is a neo nazi american puppet and Ukrainians really want to be aligned with Russia, not Europe" you're a tool of the media machine.

Dude, that is clearly their view, hence the responses and downvotes in this thread since the beginning.

It is how you end up with the progressive wing of US politics dismissing things like the Azov Battalion and the severe corruption of Ukraine, which permits them to openly support funding and weaponizing these groups.
It is “freedom fries” all over again.
You are either all in or you are a traitor.
Yeah, the same people, like Decatur, that said Bush is/was a war criminal are now following the tactics of the Bush era. In fact, moreso than that. They'll beat their chest around here telling us how they're for democracy and freedom, then tell us how someone is an enemy sympathizer and their mouthpiece because they dare to question anything regarding the official position of the state.
It's mind-numbing to watch them act Putinesque in the process of claiming everyone who pushes back on the narrative is a Putin sympathizer. It's bizarre yet sadly predictable.

Definitely on the PT Board, but I don’t go there anymore.
Outside of that place, I haven’t seen that view.

Yes I’m sure the Pentagon publicly advertises the location of its evil bio laboratories on a website. Pakistan and Syria? I’m going to go out on a limb and saying you’re grotesquely contorting this. Why don’t you explain to us what you think is going on here? I know that will require not posting a meme so I won’t hold my breath.

It's my position that Tucker's "criticisms" are nowhere near in good faith. The dude was openly rooting for Russia just a couple weeks ago. It's no surprise that his jackass "I'll lie if I'm cornered" self is getting used as Russian propaganda.

We are entering into the third week of war in Eastern Europe. The Russians steamroller continues to build pressure if not momentum. The Russian siege of Mariupol grows desperate with only marginal regard for preventing civilian casualties. It is completely surrounded with limited access to water. Without conquering Mariupol, the Russians cannot transfer their forces towards taking the Dnieper crossings and enveloping the Ukrainian field army in the Donbas. So the Ukrainians just hold.
The big news is the Russians accusing the United States of funding a biological weapons program in the Ukraine, including the use of using infected birds as offensive disease vectors. There is considerable concern that the Russians would use this as an excuse to use chemical or even biological weapons. The use of chemical weapons is never far from the Russian operational doctrine. Biological weapons are something else entirely. But neither are war winning weapons. They only amplify the human price of victory, and break taboos of modern human suffering.
The Siege of Mariupol is a harbinger of what may be to come as Vladimir Putin may choose to 'double down' on his cold gamble. He can't afford to lose. He's got to win to stay in power. Barring that, we've got a chance at a palace coup. I envision something like the Grand Fascist Council's ousting of Mussolini. But in 2-3 months it will be too late to save Russia from an economic dark age as financial and commercial channels atrophy intractably. Russia will be thrust back economically in time to 1991, perhaps even worse.
Business remains good for the resistance. Russian ineptness continues. Their offensive has slowed to either a crawl, or spurious and isolated advances. This war is already grinding down into one of attrition. As long as the Russians can continue to feed the beast, though, they can still win the conventional war with only time. But having seen demonstrations in streets occupied by the Russians must assure even Putin that he cannot hold Ukraine. So the resistance continues.

You still think that Trump colluded with Russia so of course you think these things.

Tucker now sounds exactly like Rachel Maddow on Air America and any number of liberals during the Iraq War. It's crazy to see the left like this.

You have to be a complete lunatic at this point to think that way

Tucker is just a sign of the times. Its not about a principled position on the issues its about "sticking it to the libs". The left did the same with Trump.

These people are still staunch believers that the state and the media are altruistic. These are also the same people that demand that we give these entities more and more dominion over the population every day. If they come to the realization that these entities are only looking to empower themselves over the general public then their worlds will come crashing down so they just refuse to acknowledge it despite it being in front of their faces.

It's all just to "own the libs." Tucker Carlson is a whore and will say whatever it takes to keep his ratings up. That's it, all about the ratings.

Tucker is an intelligent person. He knows exactly what he is doing and why.

Articulated much better than my post.
I actually met Tucker at a resort in Mexico during the Crossfire days, not a bad guy.
