It is funny to act like Russia's requirements for a Ceasefire are something new. It's even more funny to watch the same people who said if Ukraine’s counter offensive failed in 2023 they would have to give up the territories they lost and Negotiate a Peace Settlement to end the War. Now those same people including Zelensky say that is a non starter

There's definitely no agreement coming. Ceasefire won't solve the problem even in short term. Russia is going to keep grinding Ukraine for the next 12-18 months till they fall back to Dnipro river then there might be some talks. Zelensky won't hold elections and will try to stay in power until his exile and safety is guaranteed, unless some internal forces off him.
I'm gonna check in in 12 months. Nothing is gonna happen now, unless 4547 cuts them off the US faucet of intel and weapons.

Medinsky in an interview with Yevgeny Popov on 60 Minutes:
It was important to remind the Ukrainians how the war could have ended early—if they hadn’t stalled in Gomel and if the West hadn’t sabotaged the Istanbul talks.
War and negotiations happen simultaneously. Anyone claiming otherwise doesn’t know history.
The most relevant lesson for Ukraine is the Great Northern War. Sweden fought to the last man—only to sign a peace treaty 21 years later and permanently lose its status as a major European power.

He's giving full retail value to weapons which are 30 or more years old and retired and replaced before 2000. for the most port. What is funny about that is that they are more advanced than similar "advanced" Russian weapons of today

We're Ready to Fight As Long as it Takes
The Economist's Oliver Carroll reports that Russian negotiator Vladimir Medinsky posed the following question to the Ukrainian delegation during talks:
"We don't want war, but we're ready to fight for a year, two, three — however long it takes. We fought Sweden for 21 years. How long are you prepared to fight?"
Medinsky reportedly continued:
“And Peter the Great… you know who financed him? England and France. Sweden would still be a great power today if not for that.”

Yet Turkey and Russia are backing opposing factions in Libya. It was initially Qatar and Saudi Arabia backing them post Qaddafi.

As best I can tell the Ukrainian concentration camp prisoners are stymying 640,000 Russian soldiers and stopping them from running over Ukraine.

You font get it dude. Belarus is pro Russian. Russia didn’t need to conquer Belarus to take control over their government.
Ukraine, unlike Belarus, doesn’t wants to move into the western influence. They want in EU and in NATO. Russia doesn’t like that. Russia is trying to stop thst, but Ukraine is holding them off.
Equating Belarus to Ukraine makes no sense. They are two very different countries that happen to be neighbors.
I’m saying Russia is trying to subjugate Ukraine and if they succeed they will need troops to occupy Ukraine and keep control.

Your assumption is Ukraine is uniform and that they didn't have a coup in 2014 that removed a legitimately elected Russia-friendly president. USAID played a big part in that orange revolution and has been funneling money to shape Ukro-nationalist agenda for at least 2 decades.
Like any country sections of it lean one way, others lean the other way. US today is a prime example, there's no national agreement on foreign policy, but rather a stark split.

Cannon fodder strategy good then? Sure you can lock up your citizens and pick them off into vans and and force them to be a speed bump.
But every day Ukraine is losing 15-20 square kilometers, and they're now talking about lower conscription ages and drafting women and literal invalids. So I don't know, but it doesn't sound like a winning recipe.

Russia openly admits they are a warrior nation; yet apologists here keep making excuses for them.
It appears to me Ukraine is ready to go the distance. I hope Trump is taking all this in. Putin is not someone who should be lifted up.

Russia wants if all. That’s obvious. There is no negotiating that.
