Ukraine Will Soon Run Out of Soldiers: War Likely to End in 2025 Through Negotiations, - New York Times
??This would have happened regardless of the outcome of the US elections, since "Ukraine is short of troops," but a Trump victory "would speed up these peace talks."
??"This is bad news for Ukraine. Russian troops are advancing east. Ukraine still has weapons, but its troops are scattered. Intelligence agencies believe it will soon run out of soldiers. Republicans are reluctant to approve additional aid to Ukraine, and Kiev knows that without a significant increase in aid, the fight will soon be over."
??The key issue for Ukraine will not be the territory, but the security guarantees for the future. At the same time, NATO membership is "not being considered." Perhaps Trump will want to be seen as seeking a concession from Putin. And he will persuade Putin, for example, to allow Ukraine some economic integration with Europe.

One after another, Western publications keep talking Ukraine running out of troops, but silly stans keep believing that Ukraine has lost 43k KIA since the conflict began."

Yeah cargo pants has a 41% approval rating.

1.9 miles from the outskirts of Pokrovsk now.

Its over fellas, its been over. Time to give Russia what is Russia's and call it a day while you still have some of ukraine left.

Russia likely withdrawing its troops from Syria, CNN reports – photos

Tetyana Oliynyk — Friday, 13 December 2024, 22:16

Satellite images show that Russia has begun to withdraw its troops from Syria.

Source: CNN; Russian news outlet Vazhnye Istorii (Important Stories)

Details: Maxar Technologies and Planet Labs’ satellite imagery of military bases in Syria show that An-124 cargo planes (the world's largest cargo planes, capable of carrying up to 150 tonnes of cargo), three Il-76 transport planes, as well as smaller cargo planes – three An-32 and one An-72 – have arrived at the Khmeimim airbase. The aircraft prepare to load cargo, as indicated by their lifted nose cones.

In addition, the images show the Russian military disassembling a Ka-52 attack helicopter. Maxar analysts assume that it is being prepared for loading. Experts also identified parts of an S-400 air defence system, which is apparently also being prepared for shipment to Russia.

Russian propaganda agency TASS reported that Russia was still negotiating with the new Syrian government to maintain its military bases in the country.
