When is cutting or welding used for a suspended ceiling. Something must be lost in translation of what they mean by suspended ceiling.

You’re right that they were not invaded, but Austrian was bullied into joining Germany. To my knowledge, there was never a time when Austria wanted to be part of Germany. Sentiment was mixed, but Prussia had to invade them and beat them and Hitler, himself an Austrian, had to threaten them a half century later.

The Kremlin continues to use state and regional awards to co-opt previously critical milbloggers as part of wider efforts to gain control over the information space.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin arrived in Tehran on September 30 to meet with various Iranian officials and highlight Russo-Iranian economic cooperation.
Russian forces recently advanced in Glushkvosky Raion, Kursk Oblast, and Ukrainian and Russian forces recently advanced within the Ukrainian salient in Kursk Oblast.
Russian forces recently advanced near Svatove, Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, and Donetsk City.

The advantage of the russian army in projectiles on the battlefield has decreased to 3:1, said the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.

FT: Ukrainian officials show increased openness to discussing a ceasefire agreement
"Multiple European diplomats who attended last week’s UN General Assembly in New York say there was a tangible shift in the tone and content of discussions around a potential settlement.
They note more openness from Ukrainian officials to discuss the potential for agreeing a ceasefire even while Russian troops remain on their territory, and more frank discussions among western officials about the urgency for a deal," Financial Times reports.
"A western official briefed on Zelenskyy’s talks in Washington said there were tentative signs that Biden might agree to advance the status of Ukraine’s Nato membership bid before he leaves office in January," the authors of the publication also report.

DIE ZEIT: Olaf #Scholz wants to talk to #Putin on the phone
Such a conversation could take place ahead of November's G20 meeting in Brazil, although there has been no official request for it yet. If this happens, Scholz would be the first head of government of the most important supporter countries of #Ukraine to resume direct contact with Putin. Scholz and Putin last communicated in December 2022, according to DIE ZEIT's publication.

Although Zelenskyy’s victory plan restated old objectives, its real significance is that it shifts Ukraine’s war aims from total liberation to bending the war in Kyiv’s favour, says the senior Ukrainian official. “It’s an attempt to change the trajectory of the war and bring Russia to the table. Zelenskyy really believes in it.”

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 01 October 2024
In late September 2024, Ukrainian forces recaptured and cleared the Volchansky chemical plant in Vovchansk, Kharkiv oblast. The chemical plant acted as a Russian stronghold, enabling tactical operations on the Vovcha River. Its loss will likely limit opportunities for Russian Ground Forces (RGF) to advance in Kharkiv oblast. It is likely that Ukrainian control of the plant will facilitate further counter offensives in the north of the city to push the RGF back towards the Ukraine-Russia border.
Vovchansk has been contested since May 2024, when the RGF began an offensive operation in the Kharkiv oblast, likely to create a 'buffer zone' to deter and mitigate against any Ukrainian attacks in the Belgorod area. This led to Vovchansk (5km south of the Ukraine-Russia border) being a heavily contested city with both sides striving to push the other out of the area.
Russia has drawn forces away from the Vovchansk area to support operations in Kursk oblast, where Ukraine has occupied a salient of Russian territory since August 2024. This has almost certainly reduced the RGF capabilities in the Vovchansk area.

The government in place at the time scheduled a referendum on the question, but Hitler sent in troops ahead of it because he was afraid he might lose.

The Russians won't go for that, I don't think they'll accept anything short of unconditional surrender at this point.

That is correct. But the majority of Austrian people at the time favored unification. That is undeniable. They did vote on annexation and overwhelmingly approved it after Germany entered. A small percentage of the population was not allowed to vote but that wouldn't have made a difference. Historians acknowledge this. Any historian that claims that the majority of Austrians did not support annexation is nothing but revisionism. Hitler was greeted by the masses when he arrived. The Austrian people went nuts for him. Austria/Germany had been denied unification since WW1 Mussolini originally opposed it but when he relented Germany pursued it. That is probably the reason that Hitler was so loyal to Mussolini to the end.

Why don't you read Evans, Ullrich, Kershaw, Simms and see what they have to say about it. I can throw many more out there also. I have never mentioned or said that I agree with the guy you listed. But if you believe Churchill was a saint you are sadly mistaken. Ever heard of "the dirty little letter"? The percentages agreement? What Churchill and Bomber Harris did to Dresden was nothing but murder. What about FDR and his dealings.with Stalin? Lend lease. FDR actually had communists/Soviet agents within his cabinet. Go look up Henry Morgenthau, Jr.'s proposal/plan for post war Germany. It was pure evil.
Instead of doing the research yourself you push talking points that have been fed to you by the propaganda machine. I think that is referred to as an Useful Idiot. Your type makes a perfect example. If it doesn't fit the narrative it must be a lie. If it fits what you have been told, it is holy gospel
There is an enormous amount of propaganda regarding WWII. Ever read the Soviet version? Much of what the German generals said immediately after the war is bullshite. Hitler was a liar that actually believed he was saving the world. The US has used propaganda much to the same effect as the Soviets did or any other country. We actually have a State Ran media in this nation now. Anyone that denies that is either stupid or a liar. Ever heard of the CIA and It's media exploits? What about the FBI and it's relationship with the media? Censorship? Planting propaganda/lies?
You need to stick with.your bullshite about all of your friends that have worked in Russia. Mr. Weapons.of Mass Destruction.
As for me, I believe 0% of the propaganda put out by this federal government. I am going to do a little research to try and determine the truth.

The German generals were about saving their hides post WWII. They all actually went along with Hitler, not overruled by him. The Soviet archives were opened to US historians in the 1990's then closed to them after Putin.
We do know that the USSR hosted German divisions for war games pre WWII in large to hide its growth.
What US commanders learned at meeting the Soviet army is that they preferred the Shermans to the T-34's.
Soviet history ignores how the US provided them way more than what it is providing Ukraine. They would have lost to Germany without US supplies and entire refineries and assembly line manufacturing at the very least.
That being said, the supply route via Iran is often overlooked. Both Russia and England took over large swaths of Iran with its Germany friendly government to keep supplies rolling.
Germany's Afrika Corps had a LOT of Austrian conscripts in it. My son's former Austrian GF's grandfather was one of them. He spent several years in a POW camp near Thibodeaux, LA working in a sugar mill.
