Every SirWinston post reminds me that it happens. The supposedly Christian fundamentalist purity of Orban and Russia isn't all that it's made out to be.

Have you kissed Putin's icon lately like his no gay soldiers do in the trenches?

China Is Building and Testing Lethal Attack Drones for Russia

Back in May, UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps provoked a tiff with Washington when he suggested that China was working to provide Russia with lethal aid. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that to date, the US hadn’t seen China providing weapons directly to Russia.

The UK and the other allies have to be thinking: "Who are these damn fools in Washington DC?"

Disgraceful.

From the article:
The Telegraph recently revealed that the US is blocking British and European efforts to put in writing an “irreversible” path towards Nato membership for Ukraine.
quote:

Joe Biden raised “significant corruption” in an interview with Time magazine this year, during which he ruled out supporting the “Nato-isation of Ukraine”.

Pot meet kettle.

Biden Boys sad.

How bad will Rusal's subsidiary Windalco have its alumina and bauxite export facilities at Port Esquivel, Jamaica get whacked by Beryl?

It took several years of extensive lobbying by each of the former Warsaw Pact nations to be accepted by NATO. The US was the primary obstacle.

So are you saying that the number one reason Putin invaded Ukraine (NATO) wasn’t really a reason to invade Ukraine? It seems so.

But I’ve maintained all along that Russia invaded for power and money.

I appreciate that we go back and forth on who is corrupt given what the argument needs to be at that given time between the US/the west and Ukraine lmao

Good.

We do most of the heavy lifting in NATO. We should call the shots.

Ukraine is corrupt, news shocker.

We should pull all our support and let them decide their fate. This is a Russia/Ukraine fight, frick both of them.

I could be convinced to agree with this if it weren’t for that tiny little thing about us and the west convincing Ukraine to give up their nukes in exchange for some security agreement( even if nobody can agree on the details of the security agreement).

Glad that you acknowledge your shortsightedness. Flash, Hungary and especially Orban is corrupt. Allowing Russia to invade another nation emboldens China, Iran and North Korea at a minimum to do the same with their neighbors

Russian Forces Claim Significant Advances Near Niu-York, Ukraine

Multiple Russian sources report that Russian troops have made notable progress near Niu-York (New York) ???-????, Ukraine, potentially capturing the first buildings on the city’s southern edge. This advance, spanning nearly 4 km, could mark the beginning of the battle for the city.

Niu-York’s low terrain puts its defenders at a disadvantage, making them particularly vulnerable to attacks from higher ground. While the current Russian advance axis lacks topographical advantages, the swift progress might create new opportunities for further attacks.

This was one area of the front that had remained virtually unchanged since 2014. Indeed, it was an area where, last year, Ukraine actually took a small amount of land that had been under Russian control for the last nine years.

This area was heavily fortified, so the attack must have come as a surprise to Ukraine. I would argue that this success is the first real success of any kind for the Kharkiv offensive's goal of spreading out the Ukrainian defense to create vulnerabilities.

A more charitable interpretation of the Biden administration response to the question of Ukrainian NATO membership is that Ukraine is being presented with a pathway to membership, with specific objectives necessary.

Of course there is still corruption in Ukraine. We've seen lots of examples.
They're getting better, but culture doesn't change overnight.

But this is actually a good decision by the Biden administration. If Biden were to come out and say that NATO is definitely taking Ukraine into NATO as soon as the war ends, that would only freak out a section of MAGA and increase opposition in Congress to supporting Ukraine.

And any such promise would be worthless anyway, because it would be contingent upon a Democratic victory in November.

I can definitely point out were Ron Paul was involved in corruption via the earmarks to his congressional district. He bought votes like a mofo
