Ukraine has been begging for help, and we’ve provided help as has much of the West. But the critics say we shouldn’t help, we need to stay out of it and fix our own problems. They tell us that Ukraine should fix their own problems.

Well it looks like Ukraine has found a way to help themselves a bit, but guess what; the same types are criticizing them for that! They can’t win no matter what they do.

You seem to be misreading things.

Your first paragraph is correct, and thats how I feel.

The reaction to what you point out in the second paragraph isn't so much criticizing Ukraine itself as it is criticizing the posters who say its sunshine and rainbows for Ukraine right now, when selling off assets paints a different picture. Its a reaction against the overarching narrative of a large group in this thread, which is being contradicted.

I won’t name names and start something, but you are not pro Russia. You just have different opinions than I about some things.

If you're going to publicly accuse people you should publicly give names.

Ukraine was useful because of the launchpad it would have given NATO forces for a ground invasion

Mother of God.

Every time I think I've reached the bottom of the stupidity barrel on this tread, you manage to single handedly take it lower.

You said there are posters who are for Russia. If you're going to make the claim, state the names.

Come on man, people have stated they hope Russia wins. Go back and read the thread.
Others didn’t say it, but it’s obvious that they support Russia. Quit acting as if you can’t see that.

Breaking up Russia has probably been our official policy goal since the early 2000s.

Amid the reception in Yerevan of a delegation from the USA and the elevation of relations between the countries to the level of strategic partnership, the media are actively spreading the news that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan
@NikolPashinyan
allegedly stated that Armenia will withdraw from the CSTO.

However, Yerevan has not yet made an official and final statement. Pashinyan has merely thrown out the phrase in parliament again that Armenia "will withdraw from the CSTO when they deem it necessary."

Another context for the thrown-out phrase was the statement by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense that the process of withdrawing Russian peacekeepers from Nagorno-Karabakh has been completed.

??Given that Pashinyan is not particularly concerned about the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia, withdrawal from the CSTO is a matter of time and an obvious condition of the new strategic partnership with the US.

??However, it will be much more difficult to resolve the issue of the military base in Gyumri, as Russia's withdrawal from the region is undesirable for Iran, which in this case will demand its own base on Armenian territory.

Russia is currently engaged in military exercises off the coast of Florida. Why is Russia currently engaging in such provocative behavior? Why aren't they looking for an off ramp and peace?
