Well. This is a free society. So if the guys want to go under those conditions, they go. The US government wouldn't have anything to do with it

Oh I am absolutely biased. I don't think we should give aid to Ukraine and haven't been shy about the fact that I went from agnostic on them as a country to not liking them very much after the Poland Missile Crisis fiasco.
Still hope they win. But I'm realistic, and would rather them do it without my tax dollars.
Its also odd that you didn't actually answer the question.

Yep, by all means. I just think its funny to cut the fluff and word what you were saying for what it was.
At least Americans would be getting Ukraine money somehow

If you're talking about 20-something year old American kids with high school educations, and you offer them
1) good money
2) hot chicks
3) hero status
4) adventure
Then yeah. A lot of them will take it.

Probably GREAT money

You think they have those just to give out still? To foreigners, no less?

3) hero status
Eh

4) adventure
I would do it for mostly this

Eh
Hot chicks to give out to foreigners? Millions of men have fled the country. Hundreds of thousands are at the front. Hundreds of thousands are casualties. Excess hot chicks may be one of a few things that they have plenty of.
Have you ever been to Eastern Europe? If you are a western man who takes care of himself, doesn't drink and smoke all day, and who actually pretends to like a woman (like taking her out to dinner) then you are essentially a 1% God.
As for Hero Status, it's real over there. It would be like police escort through town, and having "orderlies" running errands for you. And the locals bringing you home cooked food. And the local elementary school kids writing Thank You notes and shite like that. For a kid who has never been out of Kansas, that stuff matters.

Well, I'll say this: I'm looking at rumors coming out of Ukraine and I'll hold off on responding for a few hours.
But someone might want to check on the Russian's 72nd division...

Take it with a giant grain of salt, but the Ukrainian MoD is claiming the tally of Russian losses since the start of the war has cross the half million mark.
No idea what the real number is. But even if it’s half that, it’s still a quarter of a million. For some perspective, in the 20 years of fighting Iraq and Afghanistan, the US military lost a combined total of 7,000 KIA.

Ukraine has some of the sexiest women on earth. Finding pussy would be the easiest thing done during the entire war. Plus they would love them some American dick because it might get them a ticket to the USA. But in all seriousness Ukraine needs to train their own people . It’s fine to have advisors come in country for a while but eventually they have to do it on their own.

Yes the F-16 can carry Storm Shadow.
My assumption, though, is that the Su-24s would still be responsible for those missions, as those planes aren't good for much else. By contrast, the f-16s have other, very important missions.
Do you disagree?

Ukraine won't have that many planes or pilots for several years.
I question whether they will have more than a dozen of either one by the end of this year.

To any Ukraine sunshine pumpers: What about western governments changing their previously hardline stances on striking inside Russia points to things going well for Ukraine?
The short-term outlook for Ukraine is negative. Ukraine is still short troops at the front, and the new units that are being formed from the new mobilization law won't be ready for months. Most of the newly promised US aid has also not arrived yet.
As a result, Ukraine should expect to struggle this summer and continue to lose ground. Western governments are working hard to help Ukraine with these short-term difficulties.
As I outlined in detail a few pages back, the long-term strategic outook is very different.

ATACMS Ballistic Missiles Target Kerch Ferry Crossing, General Staff Reveals
As a result, two ferries that conducted rail and road transportation sustained significant damage. One of them ran aground, blocking the operation of the entire Kerch crossing.
Thanks to the successful combat work of the Ukrainian military, the military logistics of the invaders on the peninsula were significantly undermined.
“The enemy must remember: Crimea is Ukraine,” the General Staff emphasized.
In addition, as a result of missile attacks on the Kerch ferry crossing, two of the same type of ferry ships, Avangard and Conro Trader of the CNF06 project, were also struck.
The Avanguard ran aground due to significant damage, evidently caused by breaches in its sides. Reportedly, four crew members were injured.
The ship “Conro Trader” probably suffered less critical damage, one crew member was injured.
Both ferries are railway and were the only ones of this type that served the Kerch ferry.
In addition, the occupied peninsula is connected with the Russian mainland by another 5 ferries: two small “Kerchensky-2” and “Eysk” and three large automobile ferries: “Lavrenty,” “Panagia” and “Maria.”

No as long as they have airworthy Su-24M aircraft they will fulfill that particular mission. If they had to though the F-16 can carry also do it. The F-16 will be more about SEAD and air to ground sorties as well as regular combat patrols looking for enemy aircraft or missiles/drones launched. The 2 AWACS aircraft that Sweden is giving is a massive boost to Ukraine’s ability to see the entire battlefield picture in realtime.

Biden secretly gave Ukraine permission to strike inside Russia with US weapons
“The president recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine is able to use U.S. weapons for counter-fire purposes in Kharkiv so Ukraine can hit back at Russian forces hitting them or preparing to hit them,” a U.S. official said, adding that the policy of not allowing long-range strikes inside Russia “has not changed.”

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Whatever a government official says, you can almost be certain the opposite is true. It's almost as if they are incapable of telling the truth. I get that this is a sensitive thing, but if you don't want it out, don't let it leak the same week you say the opposite to the media

So he limited it to only strikes in certain oblasts/districts in Russia. If so, that makes no sense. I heard someone say about a week ago that if Biden changed he would limit it to two-day three districts in Russia.

Russia was massing for another push just outside of Kharkiv. Makes sense to hit the hell out of those massed formations, so long as you're not killing civilians.
Again, they should have removed most* restrictions from Ukraine striking Russia by the summer of '22. Don't ask Ukraine to defend itself with one arm tied behind its back.
* The one restriction I agree with: don't let Ukraine invade Russia, because that would be grounds for a Russian nuclear strike. No thanks to all that.
