Putin called Macron earlier today. They spoke for an hour and a half. The call did not go well with Macron reportedly telling Putin that he was lying to himself. The French were not assured at all by the conversation and are “preparing for the worst.”

Radically pro-abortion, blamed Trump for radicalizing mass shooters, etc.

I'm curious to see how receptive these European countries are to taking in these Russians.

"Everyone is fricking stunned," says one source close to the Kremlin. Another source says no one in the presidential administration expected a full-scale war—or the sanctions. "You can't resign," said first source. "You can only resign right to jail."
WOW.

They're completely out of touch.

This is why Putin is implementing a personal 25 feet social distancing rule with everybody else.

Opens them up to the same arguments being used to invade Ukraine by Russia.

Aren't some or all of these countries part of Nato? If Russia used the same pretext to invade them wouldn't they be starting WWIII?

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland are in NATO. Finland and the central Asian countries are not.

You may not like here politics or her stance on abortion but she is preeminent when it comes to all things Russia. I would also disagree with your characterization as her being "awful" but to each his own.

Yup.

There's about to be three Brigade Combat Teams in Poland, with potentially more on the way. The US has almost an entire Division sitting across the border from Ukraine. Putin isn't going to do shite.

I think it’s safe to assume that Putin is going to do whatever the hell he wants, consequences be damned
