One would think the brilliant minds of the OT would think after Iraq, Libya, Yemen y’all would have figured it out by now.

We never should’ve put NATO in the East after the fall of the USSR.

Disgusting war mongering.

Seriously - if you came with more evidence and less buzz word laden opinions you might actually get people to listen.

The attack of surface drones in Novorossiysk was repelled by the crew of the landing ship "Olenegorsky Gornyak", reported Russian media

And now videos began to appear in Telegram channels, in which a ship very similar to the "Olenegorsk Miner" leaned over and was being towed

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 04 August 2023

In the last two weeks, Russia has conducted several waves of strikes against Ukrainian ports on the Danube River using Iranian-produced one-way attack uncrewed aerial vehicles (OWA UAVs). It is highly likely attempting to coerce international shipping into stopping trading via the ports.

OWA UAVs have struck targets as close as 200 metres from the Romanian border, suggesting that Russia has evolved its risk appetite for conducting strikes near NATO territory.

There is a realistic possibility that Russia is using OWA UAVs to strike this area in the belief they are less likely to risk escalation than cruise missiles: Russia likely considers them as acceptably accurate, and they have much smaller warheads than cruise missiles.

#Ukraine: Footage from the kamikaze USV that managed to severely damage the "Olenegorsky Gornyk" Project 775 large landing ship. As per the source, this was a joint SBU & Ukrainian Navy attack.

The drone is said to have carried 450kg of explosives.

@Osinttechnical
That is a heavily listing Ropucha

Edit for context:

Yaroslav Trofimov
@yarotrof

This is reportedly Olenegorski Gornyak, one of the Ropucha-class landing ships that were moved to the Black Sea before the invasion and were supposed to have been used for the amphibious landing to seize Odesa. I doubt Putin thought at the time Novorossiysk would be vulnerable.

There are reports that a Ukrainian naval drone also struck an offshore fuel loading and unloading facility but the video is from far away. Hopefully we get better information soon. That would be a logistical target.

Also reports of a UAV attack on an oil depot in Feodosia. Unclear if there is damage.

Though they claimed that no damage was inflicted on either of the Project 22160 classes attacked last week one has not been seen in dock yet, as they have a reported 60 day endurance this is not indicative it was damaged/sunk but it is worth keeping an eye on.

A very bad couple of weeks for the Russian navy if it turns out this is a repeat of the Moskva narrative.

The below account concentrates almost exclusively on maritime movements via satellite imagery of dockyards and is a good one to watch for firm confirmation one way or another - Sparta IV has been shown to not have suffered any damage.

3 Aug 2023. 1x Pr 22160 back at the Frigate pier after the alleged attack. No noticeable damage, only the TOR mounted on the flight deck. Ridiculously painted Grigorovich Class in port as well (the other was in Novo yesterday, 3 of 4 Pr 22160 back).

from 2 August 2023. Almost identical view to the last image on 31 July. Natya Class could be getting ready to leave (though the Boom is closed). As stated elsewhere, SPARTA IV is gone and has cleared the Dardanelles (where she dropped AIS??).

One could accurately describe the Russian vessels as having intercepted all of the drones. That appears to be happening with a high rate of success.

With the bridges damaged, this could be very effective.

In the last few weeks, the Ukrainian navy has managed to take out the Kerch road bridge and now the landing ship Olenegorsky Gornyk.

This is the same Ukrainian navy has no crewed ships.

ISW Update

Key Takeaways:

Ukrainian forces continued counteroffensive operations on at least three sectors of the front on August 3 and reportedly advanced in some areas.

Russian forces conducted a series of drone strikes on August 3, primarily targeting Kyiv.

The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) took down Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) Commander Colonel General Mikhail Teplinsky’s August 2 speech, possibly due to his disclosure of Russian casualties in Ukraine.

Russian prosecutors reportedly classified the investigation into ardent Russian ultranationalist and former FSB officer Igor Girkin on August 2.

Russian forces conducted offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, near Bakhmut, along the Avdiivka-Donetsk City line, and in the western Donetsk-eastern Zaporizhia Oblast border area on August 3 and made advances in certain areas.

Ukrainian forces continued counteroffensive operations on at least three sectors of the front on August 3 and reportedly advanced near Kreminna and Vuhledar.

The Kremlin is attempting to establish favorable conditions to attract additional volunteers to serve in the Russian Armed Forces.

A report from Yale University’s Conflict Observatory supports ISW’s longstanding assessments that Russian and occupation authorities are using forced passportization measures to consolidate social and legal control over occupied areas of Ukraine.

BTW welcome back. For those somewhat new to the thread ruff is Russian

As for the grain deal post I just want to make sure I understand you.

Russia backed out of the grain deal because they couldn't sell their grain and are bombing Ukrainian ports so when a new grain deal happens it will have to go from Russian ports because???

Are you referring to WeeWee? Yes he went to Ukraine.

He hasn't posted in a long time though

They managed to get it back to port before it sank. Looks like it's still bleeding, tho.

Navalny sentenced to another two decades. I’m sure ColtRange and other “neutral” parties here have lots of deep thoughts.
