Oh that doesn’t seem difficult at all.

I'm in a wait and see approach but I've read the fine print. Takes like a smidgen of effort to figure out.
Also, economic sanctions on non-economic actors is retarded. We have a political class that thinks they are acting in an episode of the West Wing. Complete clowns.

If Russia wanted to send a nuke to the US, how long would it take and could we do anything to stop it?
Depends if it were air launched (bomber), ballistic missile or sub launched.
For the bomber scenario, hours. For an ICBM, it's about 30 mins from launch to impact.
As for what we could do about it, we have some capability with the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), but I'm not sure if those assets are deployed in such a way that we could do much given a full scaled nuclear strike.

Kind of. We have some defense missiles that work. Poland, Romania, and other surrounding countries have 2nd generation defense capabilities as of 2016. They aren't as up to date as current US stuff. That's all I got from my quick research. In other words I think we would be fine... Ole Sarah Palin might should be concerned with Russia only a few miles from Alaska.

Also we might have some space lasers too... Serious not serious.

Well that sucks if it’s fake news. I wonder if it’s true though the amount of time needed to train on newer jets
It was always wishful thinking. NATO isn’t going to get anywhere near this fight. Russia will overwhelm what’s left of the Ukrainian military soon enough. The western powers will make a show of supporting the insurgency for a while but eventually we’ll get bored and abandon them. The sanctions will gradually be eased up too over the course of the next year. Wayyyy too much money is going to be left on the table by keeping Russia completely isolated. Everything you’re seeing now is just for show.

Please disregard any post from me after 7 pm. Had a few drinks last night and got carried away with trolling. I had promised not to in this particular thread. I drink about 1-2 times a week. Just bear with me 1-2 times a week

Russian troops pouring out of Crimea have linked up with forces moving from Donetsk, defence ministry says. That means Mariupol is now fully encircled.
Land bridge from the breakaway republics to Crimea now complete.

Charitably speaking, it’s probably true Poland has some planes they are willing to give. Realistically, logistically getting the planes back to Ukraine without it being seen as an act of war by Poland is going to hold it up.

I do feel like they sent the scrubs in first and used a lot of older bombs and equipment thinking it would be easy and didn’t want to risk the lives of better trained soldiers and newer equipment.
I dunno. I'd think they'd want to get their "better trained soldiers" (if they have them) combat experience.

If they aren't deployed right now... why even bother having them?

Right. I wonder how many Russian subs are in international waters just off of the USA. Isn't everything past 12 nautical miles considered international waters? That means a Ruskie sub could be just chilling closer to us than some oil platforms.

You keep your safety on when you’re not about to use your gun, right?

I didn't say they weren't deployed. I said I'm not sure they are deployed in in such a way that they could do much give a full scaled strike from Russia. I'm sorry I'm not privy to classified information.

Just think that if Russia does launch an ICBM these two are our only hope at stopping it
