British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 27 April 2023
Imagery shows that by March 2023, Russian forces had established sandbag fighting positions on the roofs of several of the six reactor buildings at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).
Russia has controlled ZNPP since March 2022. However, this is the first indication of the actual reactor buildings being integrated in tactical defence planning. Russia has likely constructed these positions because it is increasingly concerned about the prospects of a major Ukrainian offensive.
The move highly likely increases the chances of damage to ZNPP safety systems if fighting takes place around ZNPP. However, direct catastrophic damage to the reactors is unlikely under most plausible scenarios involving infantry weapons because the structures are very heavily reinforced.

I don't think anybody believes Russia's economy is strong right now but they're definitely not losing money on $60/bbl. Aren't you in the O&G industry?
Definitely losing money at $60 less 35% discount. $45 is breakeven. They are and have always been very inefficient producer

The Feds' motion for pretrial detention of Teixeira: LINK
- Dude is stupid:
- He started right at the time of the beginning of the war:
- This definitely sounds like someone who should get a top-secret clearance:
- Teixeira seems to have been very interested in mass shootings:
- Again, back to the first point: the dude is plumb stupid:
- Dude is stupid:
quote:Like that was going to stop anything.
following his arrest, authorities searched a dumpster at his residence and found a tablet, a laptop,
and an Xbox gaming console, all of which had been smashed. These efforts appeared calculated
to delay or prevent the government from gaining a full understanding of the seriousness and scale
of his conduct
- He started right at the time of the beginning of the war:
quote:
Nevertheless, government records reflect that, beginning in approximately February 2022,
the Defendant began to access hundreds of classified documents containing national defense
information that had no bearing on his role as essentially an information technology (“IT”) support
specialist.
- This definitely sounds like someone who should get a top-secret clearance:
quote:
In March 2018, while still in high school, the Defendant was suspended when a classmate overheard him make remarks about weapons, including Molotov cocktails, guns at the school, and racial threats.
quote:
In 2018, while still a teenager, the Defendant applied for a firearms identification card
(“FID”). His application was denied due to the concerns of the local police department over the
Defendant’s remarks at his high school.
- Teixeira seems to have been very interested in mass shootings:
quote:
A review of records received from a social media platform also indicate that the Defendant
regularly made comments about violence and murder. See Attachment I, (the Church Social Media
Declaration). The Defendant’s statements included the following:
• In November 2022, the Defendant stated that if he had his way, he would “kill a
[expletive] ton of people” because it would be “culling the weak minded.”
• In February 2023, the Defendant told a user that he was tempted to make a specific
type of minivan into an “assassination van.”
• Also in February 2023, the Defendant sought advice from another user about what
type of rifle would be easy to operate from the back of an SUV. He describes how he
would conduct the shooting in a “crowded urban or suburban environment.”
• In March 2023, the Defendant described SUVs and crossovers as “mobile gun
trucks” and “[o]ff-road and good assassination vehicles.”
- Again, back to the first point: the dude is plumb stupid:
quote:
The FBI also located a box for a new iPhone
in the dumpster. Id. The Defendant told several colleagues just two days before his arrest that he
had a new phone number and email address. The Defendant told one colleague that his phone had
flown out of his truck window and was run over by a semi-truck.

Some of the government's exhibits attached to the motion:
Was he really interested in doing a mass shooting?
Again, the dude is just so unbelievably stupid:

Was he really interested in doing a mass shooting?
quote:Which he was able to get, overcoming the concerns of the local police about his threats in high school, because of his top-secret clearance.
As noted in the Pretrial Services Report, prior to arrest,
the Defendant’s net worth was approximately $19,000—approximately half of which appears to
be tied to the value of his guns.
Again, the dude is just so unbelievably stupid:

Sounds like they have the proper access data but are not processing it intelligently to flag individuals who are misusing documents.

Sounds like our people don’t know what they are doing and anyone can access our top secret stuff. It’s really upsetting as a taxpayer to read about that scumbag.
And I’m not being political, who is in charge here?

So cringe when idiots use terms like "plausible deniability" but clearly have no idea what it means. And this fool wanted to cull the "weak minded"? Be careful what you wish for.

The dumbass was posting all this on a private Discord that he paid for with own credit card, and he's talking about plausible deniability.

That dude is clearly a massive threat to society and doesn't need to get out of prison for decades, if not ever.

I really don't think that it's political. I think that the failures span both the Trump and Biden administrations. The leaks have happened during the Biden administration, but it appears that Teixeira got "vetted" and got his security clearance during the Trump administration.
The scandal is that Teixeira was given his top-secret clearance and the people giving it to him knew about the incident in school when he threatened to bring guns to school and kill all the n******, and they gave it to him anyway.

I was not being political, this is a military issue.
No matter who the POTUS is it is up to the generals to insure that our military secrets are kept secret.
This guy was no master spy. He was just some kid given free access without proper supervision.

There are about 1,500,000 uniformed personnel and all have some form of clearance. So in an organization that size you will have breakdowns like this.
That said, I havent heard a good explanation as to how he accessed compartmented information, thats the "C" in TS-SCI. That SCIF needs to be turned inside out.

It just seems like there should be some digital tripwire to flag all of this unauthorized access.

I suspect there was. The breakdown was in the SCIF (most likely).

Ukraine has created a semi-underwater drone-torpedo "Toloka", which will operate at a distance of up to 2000 km
The Ukrainian coordination platform Brave-1 showed a semi-underwater drone-torpedo "Toloka".
The design consists of a tubular body, but with a large keel and horizontal stabilizers in the middle.
Thrusters are installed at the end of each horizontal stabilizer. They are used both for control and for movement, which should provide significant maneuverability.
The mast itself with an optical camera is above the water.
Three versions were presented at the exhibition: TLK 150 with a power reserve of 100 km and a mass of explosives up to 20-50 kg, TLK 400 - 1,200 km and 500 kg of explosives, TLK 1000 - 2 thousand kilometers and up to 5 tons of explosives.

Pace of U.S. tank delivery to Ukraine draws fire in Senate
quote:
President Biden and his senior military advisers were rebuked Thursday by senators exasperated by what they claimed is the glacial pace at which his administration is moving to supply Abrams tanks to Ukraine, whose leaders say they need such weapons for a highly anticipated counteroffensive to retake Russian-occupied territory.
Sens. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and Angus King (I-Maine) directed their frustration at Gen. Christopher Cavoli, who as the head of U.S. European Command oversees much of the Pentagon’s effort to train and equip Ukraine’s army. King told the general he is worried that Ukraine will not have enough firepower to counter Russian troops this summer and that the American tanks should be staged in Poland now so Ukrainian forces can use them as soon as they complete a training course expected to begin next month under the supervision of U.S. soldiers in Germany.
“This counteroffensive that everybody is talking about,” King said during the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, “it’s the longest windup for a punch in the history of the world.”
“It’s going to be trench warfare, and it’s going to involve tanks,” King went on, warning that if the Abrams don’t arrive on the battlefield until August or September, as the Pentagon has said, “it may well be too late.”
