Simonyan bemoaning the fact that all their phones can be cut of with a keystroke and will send them back to the '90s tech-wise. I do admit I would love to see it happen but the precedent is a bridge too far... maybe?

It's more likely that their own government would shut down their devices.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
These guys are fighting for their country. It’s just the opposite of what Russia is doing. I believe while there will definitely be a learning curve; these guys will do what they have to do because there is no option,

Obtuse1, I've seen versions of that tweet in several places, and it's clearly an exaggeration. I read what Michael Carpenter actually said, and he basically gave an anodyne statement saying that US supports weapons deliveries by its allies.
And it's obviously ridiculous to think that this Michael Carpenter guy would have any authority over the US decision on whether F-16s would go to Ukraine.

All the modern controls to efficiently use pipelines will have SCADA controls and Russia has never been able to manufacture such on its own. All is Western tech. I wonder how many cutoff switches have been installed by western tech factories. Russians don't even know how to use blowout preventers when drilling wells!

Scary to think how much of our stuff is Chinese made and if they have the ability to do the same….

I flagged him as an alter after his first post, but obviously nothing has come of it.

Mostly Jap or US made for industry, not Chinese except for recently pressure vessels. They have no moving parts or control built in.

From my understanding, the general public is not okay with Russia invading Ukraine but is okay with Mexico/CA invading the USA. Did I get that right?

So you think a population of a complex society, those of the territories who were annexed into Ukraine in the 2010s, who voted to become one with Russia again, just recently, want to stay in war? The more complex a society becomes, the closer to collapse it is.

Dear God, I didn't know the brainwashing was this bad.
I hesitate to ask, because I am a teacher and ignorance literally pains me, but what territories were annexed into Ukraine in the 2010s?

Former Russian spy on Russian state TV says that ALL Americans believe everything the government says.
Then when asked if 100,000's of Americans are leaving America the person is cut off. Officially, there were over 406,000 Russians who immigrated to just Kazakhstan in a week in September
