I kinda understand the political implications, but it seems tactically irrelevant.
It’s probably not meant to be tactical. It’s trying to throw the nuclear boogeyman at NATO in an attempt to deter members from getting further involved
I do not expect it to have much effect

A Convoy appearently got hit East of Kiev two hours ago
From the sounds of fighting close to downtown Kiev, it sounds like Russia still has a lot of firepower it's throwing at the city.

I will be filing a bill to sanction & issue a lifetime visa ban for any govt official in #Ukraine who collaborates with #Russia to govern any part of the country And I hope the EU & every NATO nation will do the same
Can’t help but think that if a Ukrainian official is at the point of being forced to make the choice to help Russia, their options are to either get shot in the head, or no longer be able to travel around the world…

Putin is a Stalin throwback with less of Stalin's self control
Stalin had no self control. He died in 1953 so he didn’t rule during the heat of the Cold War. His successors did, and yes they had some self control.

But the EU is still buying oil/LNG from Russia.

He's trying to keep someone from being bought out by the Russians.
I've seen some Ukranians on Twitter talking about doing this, so I think it's a legit concern.
But it's not Marco's place and his campaign here seems like an absurd overreach. IMO the correct take is - "We recognize the elected government of Ukraine and we will not recognize Russian-allied officials in Ukraine to the extent they're excommunicated, etc. by Ukraine's government."

There are reports of another missile launch from inside Belarus. Belarus is quickly becoming a....problem.
I feel like they’re playing the role that Austria played in WW2. Nobody focuses on them but they’re just as guilty as the big player and are fomenting a lot of this aggression

Even if you divide the Ukrainian number by 4 to account for bias it's an insane count
The coalition lost 200ish people in the initial invasion of Iraq. The vehicle etc loss is insane as well

Parts of Ukraine look like a junkyard right now. Between what has been destroyed and what broke down and was abandoned, there's a whole lot of Soviet scrap metal to be had.
Oh....and let's not forget the Ukranian farmer baw who is currently out in his shop with a bottle of Jack and a welder trying to figure out how to fit those tracks on his tractor.

"How many of Ukranians were there?
"Um, there was a mean farmer, sir."
