The Germans were too obsessed with quality in WW2 and got overrun by American assembly lines. Their Tiger and Panther tanks were no doubt the best but when they knocked 2 Sherman’s out 5 more were waiting to take their place.
It was actually the same if not worse with the Soviet T-34. Russians are said to have preferred the Sherman. It was at least a 10-1 advantage for Soviet armor which was good for an average of 300 miles before being unrepairable

Basically but I don’t if the Russians have enough missiles to do it though. The Ukrainians have hooked up their grid to the EU’s grid and they can power all of western Ukrainian from power they get Poland and the Czech Republic and Slovakia which is why they are trying to get citizens to evacuate Kyiv and other cities and go to western Ukraine for the winter.
I am sure everyone has seen the NASA pics of Ukraine is compete darkness, use ELA and you see some of them, the ones that are like a black hole are manipulated. There is no question they have lost a LOT of the power infrastructure but anyone that wants a truly accurate view this is a link to the NASA Worldview at night and I set it up so you can slide back and forth between about a month prior to the invasion and a couple of days ago. Two things stick out, one the recent picture shows the lights in the surrounding countries are not as bright and dense as they were in January (not sure the reason) and Ukraine isn't as dark as some of the images show. If the link works correctly there should be a left-right arrow in the middle of the picture you can slide back and forth for a direct comparion.

Spent 3 months in Egypt in 21. It is a real time contradiction on just about every level.

The problem with many memes and that one, in particular, it doesn't really say anything. It implies something hopping the audience will infer something particular from seeing it. For the majority of the audience, it is intended to obfuscate via cum hoc ergo propter hoc. Temporal correlation does not equal causation. We know that "Russians" like Trump, and we know that they were looking forward to a red wave, the reasoning is clear for the latter, murkier for the former.
Unless or until Putin, members of the Duma, or high-ranking military officials divulge the true reasoning behind the timing of the invasion there is no way of knowing if the causation the meme implies exists. Any assignment of causation otherwise is just an emotional response.

Foreign-made components help guide Russian missiles to Ukraine, says Ukraine’s intelligence
November 25, 2022, 10:13 AM
Russia is using off-the-shelf components made by foreign companies to build the guidance systems of missiles used to attack Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry reported on Nov. 25.
According to the agency, to guide its cruise missiles, Russia uses its GLONASS navigation system, a Soviet-era analogue of GPS.
“Although GLONASS is a dual-purpose system, it is primarily used by the Russian military to target Ukrainian cities,” the agency said.
The intelligence agency said the Russian navigation system still has a weak point, namely GLONASS depends on microchips produced by foreign companies.
“Russian missiles and drones are equipped with foreign-made GLONASS-enabled microchips – usually civilian chips, but the Russians use them for military purposes,” reads the report.
“The chips receive and process coordinates from GLONASS, and the missiles use this information to navigate and aim at Ukrainian civil and energy infrastructure.”
The intelligence stressed that many foreign companies continue to produce microchips with GLONASS support, such as:
Linx Technologies (the United States);
Broadcom (the United States);
Qualcomm (the United States);
Telit (the United States);
Maxim Integrated (the United States);
TRIMBLE (the United States);
Cavli Wireless (the United States);
U-blox AG (Switzerland);
STMicroelectronics (Switzerland);
Sierra Wireless (Canada);
NovAtel (Canada);
Septentrio (Belgium);
Antenova (the United Kingdom).
Russia, in turn, continues to purchase GLONASS-enabled microchips through numerous shell companies and distributors. They are used at least in such weapons as Orlan-10 and Shahed-136 drones, Tornado-S andSmerch MLRS, Iskander, Kalibr, and Kinzhal missiles, as well as aviation and cruise missiles Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-38, Kh-59MK, and Kh-31.
“Without foreign-made GLONASS-enabled chips, the Russians would have to build their microelectronics from the ground up,” the agency said.
“In this case, export control and control by manufacturers will not work because Russia is constantly inventing new ways to circumvent sanctions and purchase technologies.”
The intelligence pointed out that foreign companies should realize the direct impact of their products on Russia’s defence capabilities, stop producing chips with GLONASS support, and remove the function of supporting this navigation system from all their devices.

Well the CIA is literally the JV team of the US intel community so they probably are at least on par with them.
Obtuse is alright. He’s at least intelligent and knowledgeable about what he posts even if I disagree. Citizen K just makes up word salad. He’s the most likely boy in this thread.

I agree. My only rub on Obtuse is that he comes across as a know it all about every subject. I give him shite about it but as you said he is intelligent and I don't see him really getting into drama.

He lets emotions get in the way of rationality sometimes. He also has this new schtick of elitism he tries and looks like a dumbass while doing so.

They’re confusing because you’re talking out of your arse and drawing conclusions from data you don’t have.

Yet, the MAGA acolytes also claim that Putin behaved because he was afraid of Trump's retaliatory strength.
“Putin behaved”? Ok…
The rest of your post is gibberish not worthy of a response.
Would Russia have invaded if Trump had won in 2020? No one really knows the answer.
I think we should be involved. Diplomatically.
We shouldn’t be sending billions of taxpayers dollars in the form of superior western weapons to wage a proxy war with a nuclear power that’s months, maybe weeks away from being backed into a corner with only a nuclear option. I believe the Biden campaign claimed to be the adults in the room.

I kinda agree with you somewhat but Putin started this shite, and there is really nothing more American than waging a proxy war to do weapons testing

It’s become an unfortunate status quo. Eisenhower warned us over 60 years ago.
And it’s not testing, the air war would be over in 24 hours. We’ve known this.
