According to French Defense Minister Lecornu, Paris will supply Ukraine with a further 6 CAESAR self-propelled howitzers to bring the total number of units provided to 24.

These self-propelled guns have been very popular with the ZSU for their accuracy and mobility.

Russia has had every opportunity to make this an organized, orderly withdrawal from the west bank in Kherson… will be interesting to see what takes place.

Considering their failure to provide new conscripts with bandages and instead advise them to get tampons, I’d say this will be chaotic.

Just be aware if you ever happen to go on and all the channels are showing the Swan Lake ballet something big is going down, that's what they did right after the Chornobyl disaster.

I’m old enough to remember when all channels of Russian TV showed the flag with patriotic music, their leader was dead. It would go on for days with not a word of what happened.

Then there would be a new leader!

In the coming months, look for the Russian flag and patriotic music on a Russian tv near you!

Hearing the US may be pressuring Ukraine to negotiate. Jake Sullivan has been talking to the Russians. There are even rumors coming out of Europe that the Russian pull out of Kherson was part of an agreement between Russia and the US as a precursor to the negotiations starting. Anyone hearing any of this?

I 100% guarantee you that did not happen. If the Kherson were the result of an agreement with the US, then it would absolutely not have been announced the day after the midterms. As even Russian TV pointed out, the Kherson withdrawal announcement was intentionally delayed until after the election, both to avoid helping Biden, and also because they would have had more leverage if Tucker's forces had triumphed.

21,000 155 mm rounds or about 3-4 days worth with Ukraine averaging about 6,000 rounds a day. This also includes 152 mm and 122 mm Soviet rounds too so i would say if they can be conservative that’s enough 155 mm for 2 weeks, 3 at most. This is becoming a problem. I hope the plant in Ukraine that is starting to produce 152 and 122 rounds for their Soviet guns is able to produce the shite out of them because unless other NATO countries start sending 155 rounds in large numbers we are quickly approaching our limit that we can give. As of right now we still are only producing between 18,000-29,000 rounds of 155 mm a year depending on who you believe. We can technically ramp that up to just under 300,000 rounds a year but that is under a 4 year lead time. If Ukraine needs more artillery it’s going to have to be either the lighter M119 105 mm or our older M198 155 mm guns that are double the weight of our M777s but beggars can’t be choosers and we aren’t producing anymore M777 guns so what you have is what you’ve got basically. No more M777s or Javelins need to be sent u less production comes back online for the guns and Javelin production increases considerably. We have plenty of older howitzers in storage as well as TOW anti tank weapons that can be sent. Hell they are sending Hawks and the those were long antiquated before I was ever even a fresh faced 2LT.

Desantis is Italian. I went to h.s. with one, his parents from NJ had moved to Lake Chuck after his dad served in Korea. Dad worked rebuilding helicopters from Vietnam until that closed then at one of the petrochemical plants in town.
Son served in the AF then went to college and became an MD. He had a drop dead gorgeous Egyptian wife. He died a few years ago, not sure what from.

Anyway, it is an Italian name.

Holy rain of fire. Wow. If anyone thinks that Ukraine is peacefully letting Russians retreat from Kherson across the river, watch this rocket volley.

Ukrainian forces have entered Kherson liberation is close. Going to watch closely to see if the Russians blow the Kakhovka damn and flood the area to cover their retreat.
