Is that really a fair stereotype? There's no doubt that Alcoholism is rampant in Russia, but to say MOST?

It is per a friend who lived in Russia, two others who worked there. The former has worked in the Trump Campaign since 2011.
It is damned fair. They have the true plantation mentality and the average worker will not do anything without being told exactly what and how. They won't observe anything without being told to what and how to look for. Undoubtedly there is high intelligence in some but the vast majority are pretty useless.

That comes from the being a culture that has shed the economic aspects of communism but not the mental aspects of it. The older people were brought up in a country where they were literally told how, when, and where to do practically everything. The younger people grew up in a society where it is pointless to try and achieve something or go above and beyond because just as soon as they accomplish something someone in power either flat out steals it or wants a piece of the gains. Not a good environment for creating free thinking, innovative, and ambitious population. However it is a great environment for creating alcoholics and heroin addicts which are both rampant problems over there.
