For those who have lost track of Snowden, this was him in February, just before the full-scale invasion. Since then he has been absolutely mum about Ukraine and now accepts a Russian passport (though his lawyer says he's not required to serve since he doesn't have Russian military experience). LOL.

Throw in Julian Assange. He is nothing more than typical Russian propagandist. When Wikileaks first had big news, it was all half truths. A European biz friend was implicated to be in cahoots with Qaddafi with several GOP operatives. / While they were seeking to allow a lobbying office to open in DC, what was painted was all half truths. Wikileaks started out trying to take down GOP side. It switched sides later which is typical Russian operation to create chaos.

The Russian population collapse is going to be catastrophic. Putin tried to lessen it by capturing former Soviet states such as Ukraine and supplementing the population via subjugation but that plan has backfired spectacularly and has only hastened the Russian decline. My prediction is after this last gasp the Russian Federation will fall apart in 20 years and it will be ugly. I think China will face a similar collapse later on. They have communism to thank.

And when one/both of those collapse, I wonder what happens then, does European or American colonialism make a comeback?
After all, why sit idly by while waiting for some new (and likely hostile) power to use all of those vast resources against you? Next century or so is gonna get interesting

Which, is fair. I have not a clue how any of that works, but ultimately, I would say I agree with that being a positive, in general.
