Why does everyone doubt the strength of Mother Russia? Russia has finally gotten tired of playing with Ukraine and is not going to get down to business. Once the Russian reserves are trained and deployed the Russian steamroller will start rolling again. It will roll through mud and Ukrainian blood and it will not stop until the Orthodox Cross is raised over the Hagia Sophia in Constatntiople. The brillant Putain has already talking Turkey into surrendering European Turkey to Russia. You could tell it from Putin's and Erdogan's body language last week. I mean who can stand up to an army made up of fine slavic sons of Russia like these fine soldiers!?!

Let's see if we can prove Poe's law again in this thread.

Sometimes even the Onion could be mistaken for straight reporting, when the facts are crazy already. This is effective satire because some are actually saying this as if they believe it.

I think there was some serious sarcasm in his post. Sometimes detecting it requires memorizing all the posters and their general opinions which is nigh on impossible.
That’s actually part of the reason I never change my avatar on any message boards. I’m terrible with names, so I generally remember posters based on their avatars. When people change their avatars, it confuses the shite out of me. So I endeavor not to do that to other people. Whether someone loves me or hates me, I would like to save them the effort of having to form their opinion of me multiple times

It is currently 40 degrees farenheit and raining on the front. Not a good time to take off the gloves comrade.

So from what I’m reading in your post it looks like the Ukrainian offensive has run out of steam and a period of consolidation, perhaps stalemate, is developing.
This is why I am confident that Ukraine is about to launch a third major offensive in the next week or so.
We KNOW that Ukraine has a large operational reserve right now. There are a lot of Ukrainian units not currently on the battlefield. There is a lot of equipment donated by other nations that, again, has not been seen in any videos on the battlefield.
Ukraine gets more weaponry donated every week, and it didn't hurt that the Kharkiv offensive netted over 200 operating pieces of equipment, as well as several ammo dumps.
The pace of training of Ukrainian troops by Western countries is increasing, as more and more nations decide to contribute. Canada, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and New Zealand are training soldiers in the UK, and now Denmark is also going to host Ukrainians for basic training. Of course, a number of nations are providing more specialized trainings for various weapons systems.
All this, combined with a Russian weakness that means that Russia is unlikely to be able to mount a new offensive anywhere, means that Ukraine does not need as large an operational reserve as they previously did.
And experts have been saying for the last month that Ukraine really took Kharkiv Oblast with a relatively small force. That's why the offensive had to slow down when it did.
But Ukraine could have further exploited the Kharkiv offensive by pushing a reserve to the front while the units that made the initial breakthrough set up defensive lines, rest, and resupply.
So, why didn't they? Or, why isn't Ukraine using more of that reserve to give more oomph to the Kherson front?
There's only one reasonable answer. It's that Ukraine is about to open another offensive in the south. Russia has been very worried about an attack on Melitopol, and they have beefed up their forces there with several BTGs. A number of Russian milbloggers have sounded the alarm about a Ukrainian buildup near Vuhledhar that could push towards Mariupol.
A new push south towards either Melitopol or Mariupol could devastate Russian supply lines and open up a lot of Crimea to HIMARS (not to mention ATACMS). If successful, it would also doom Russian forces in Kherson and allow Ukraine to turn the water off in Crimea.
I think that we'll see it within a week. The mobilization order means that Ukraine needs to increase its operational tempo to rack up wins before winter, and the sham referenda mean that much more powerful NATO weapons will soon be on the way.

Not good news for the male population of Russia. However it might be good news for baws who are tired of their American women. The mail order bride market is going to buy a buyer's market very soon when 300,000 Russian males are dead or in jail.

IF they pulled this off it would be epic and the whole rotten structure would come down.
Sort of expect they may try something more limited like punching through at Svatove in the north and circling around behind Severodontsk and Lysychank's. This would make large chunks or the Russian position untenable. Hopefully leading to more panicked "strategic withdrawals." But i'm just trying to manage my expectations and hope you are right.

Comments say that video isn't current by looking at the trees and weather. It's supposedly significantly colder there today than this video represents.

Yes. I heard Amazon is trying to buy the largest mail order bride sites to get a hold on the market.

I shouldn't post at work when I don't have the time to vet. Mea culpe.

Damn I love a good troll. They actually got the spoiled brat to say that he does not need to show up for mobilization.

Worked with a Russian woman with the sexiest voice. Rigor mortis set in every time she talked to me.
