Hell, there were college students (some of whom became Democratic politicians) carrying NVA flags during the Vietnam War. Jane Fonda, a celebrity lib of her day, was posing on NVA anti-aircraft guns.

The way Fauci and the Democrats (and their water toters in the media) have fought tooth and nail to obfuscate what is clear to everybody - that the Chinese Flu was created in a lab and most likely for biological warfare means - and you're sure the Democrats will all of the sudden rally around the flag? The flag they won't even display on the podium at their conventions? The flag representing the country they have spent decades telling our children is evil/racist/phobic/destructive? Your confidence in their patriotism is grounded in what, exactly?

Likewise, Bonds. If you come in here, though, you're required to give a Ukraine/Russia hot take.

Why? There are announcements for how much the US gives in aid all the time.

Regardless between our Surface Warfare and Submarine fleet, combined with the Seals and Marines there is no more powerful department than the Department of the Navy.

I have no problem admitting that the navy is the most powerful military force in the world. I was only pushing back against your statement that the navy was the first into any war. The army was also first into Afghanistan and Vietnam, fwiw, and that's just off the top of my head.

Here, I'll throw you right into the fire -

speaking of fire, if Dugina burned in car fire, how does her corpse look pristine in an open casket?

I'll give you Vietnam with the Army combat advisors

But...

F-14's flew some of the first combat sorties into afghanistan before any other military aircraft

Also, the Navy was lobbing TLAM's at UBL way before 9/11. I know because my boat sat on station waiting our turn to fire some back in 1999. One could argue the Navy was the first American force in the Afghanistan war

That's true but I guess when I mean "in country" I'm talking about actual boots on the ground but either definition is legitimate, so point taken.

from Ukrainska Pravda

quote:

Russia announces the "adoption" of thousands of children deported from Mariupol

In Russia’s Krasnodar Krai alone, more than 1,000 Ukrainian children who were illegally taken from captured Mariupol have been given up for "adoption".

This is evidenced by information on the website of the Department of Family and Childhood of Krasnodar Krai, which cynically calls Mariupol "liberated".

It is reported that the children who were taken by the Russian occupiers from the bombed-out Ukrainian port city will now live in Tyumen, Irkutsk, Kemerovo and Altai Krai.

In addition, more than 300 Ukrainian children are currently in specialised institutions of Krasnodar Krai waiting to be "adopted".

To encourage Russians illegally deported from Ukraine to adopt children, they are offered a "one-time payment of maternity benefits and state aid". They promise to pay an annual 20,000 roubles [approximately 300 US dollars] for each adopted child and more than 150,000 roubles [approximately 2500 US dollars] for a child with a disability, a child older than 7 years or the "adoption" of siblings.

According to the data of Daria Herasymchuk, the representative of the President of Ukraine for children's rights and child rehabilitation as of 1 August, the illegal deportation of 5,754 children to Russia is a known issue. Prior to that, it had also become known that the Russian Federation is preparing changes to the legislation that will allow Russians to adopt Ukrainian children according to a simplified procedure.

and if true

quote:

In 1948, the United Nations Genocide Convention defined genocide as any of five "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such." These five acts were: killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group.

You've still got it, Bonds.

The most correct answer, though, is hologram.
