I was on Reddit and came across an article claiming Russian partisans opposed to Putin and the oligarchy claim responsibility for the car bombing. They claim they are just getting started.
In the Guardian
Partisans

Take it for what it’s worth. The translated manifesto was removed from the Reddit thread when I found it again.

Excellent interview. He makes a very valid point. If help had arrived in 2014, 2022 wouldn't be happening.

Ukraine's Operational Command "South" reported that Russia could be preparing to launch missiles at Ukrainian cities on Aug. 24, Independence Day in Ukraine.

Ukraine’s military warned that #Russia had put five cruise missile-bearing warships and submarines out in the Black Sea and that Moscow was positioning air defence systems in #Belarus. Large gatherings have been banned in #Kyiv for four days from Monday.

This is in addition to the buildup of missiles in Belarus. Looks like Russia is getting ready to start another missile swarm to terrorize the Ukrainian civilians.

So the National Republican Army of Russia has claimed responsibility for the car bombing. Here’s a link to a twitter account translation of their Manifesto. This appears to be a previously unknown group inside of Russia.

The end of the interview was striking.

"No chance." was his answer to the question of Ukraine agreeing to cede territory such as Crimea in exchange for peace. Because there were too many deaths, especially of civilian children.

This war will go into next year and maybe longer I think.

Maybe they just confused botulism poisoning, the NPP is just a few miles from Zaporizhzhia which is in the same region as what I am guessing was tainted rations. At least I hope it is something besides radiation.

ISW update

quote:

Russian forces’ momentum from territorial gains around Bakhmut and Avdiivka in late July is likely exhausted, and Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine are likely culminating although very small Russian advances will likely continue.

quote:

Russian forces’ failure to capitalize on prior gains around Bakhmut and Avdiivka is an example of a more fundamental Russian military problem—the demonstrated inability to translate tactical gains into operational successes.

quote:

Russian forces likely face issues repairing combat aircraft due to Western sanctions and may be attempting to bypass these sanctions by leveraging Belarusian connections with less severe sanctions.

quote:

Key Takeaways

Russian offensive operations in eastern Ukraine have likely exhausted the limited momentum they gained at the end of July and are likely culminating. The Russian military has shown a continual inability to translate small tactical gains into operational successes, a failing that will likely prevent Russia from making significant territorial advances in the coming months barring major changes on the battlefield.

Ukrainian military intelligence reports that Russia and Belarus have reached an “urgent” agreement for Belarus to repair damaged Russian aviation equipment for re-use in Ukraine. This agreement could be part of a Russian effort to use the looser sanctions regime on Belarus to circumvent sectoral sanctions on Russia.

Russian forces attempted several unsuccessful ground assaults southwest and southeast of Izyum.

Russian forces launched a ground attack southeast of Siversk and northeast and south of Bakhmut.

Russian forces made limited gains west of Donetsk City but did not conduct any ground assaults on the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast administrative border.

Russian forces attempted unsuccessful ground assaults southwest of Donetsk City and continued attacking settlements northwest and southwest of Avdiivka.

Russian forces conducted several assaults on the Kherson-Mykolaiv frontline and made partial advances east of Mykolaiv City.

Russian forces are likely not training new recruits in discipline, creating an entitled force engaging in disorderly conduct in Russia and illegal conduct in Ukraine.

Russian occupation authorities intensified filtration measures and abductions in occupied territories ahead of Ukraine’s Independence Day on August 24.

Has this been confirmed? This would be something else if true.

I would love nothing more, than to see Putin being hanged in front of the Kremlin. Would be the most monumental regime change I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.

I’m sure more than a few sphincters are tightening in the Kremlin knowing that there are actually Russians who want to kill them because of their support for Putin. Maybe the old commies will come to the realization that he is leading them down a very dark road to destruction.

I would love that too. But I would also worry about who would replace him.

The chaos of Russia potentially collapsing would be a big problem for global stability. A less dramatic ending where Putin died in a sanitarium with a crony replacing him might be better.

Well, it’s confirmed that this is being said. I don’t think it is possible at this point to confirm that is a real group and that they actually carried out the car bomb.

Narbona. So an actual foreign propagandist has entered the chat. Your comments the other day about car insurance and health insurance showed that you have no idea how insurance works in America despite your casual attempt to relay a fake story about “your friend.”

It is going to happen sooner or later, the only demographic segment really having babies is the Chechen one and its ilk. It isn't the semi-Slavic segment

According to the internet, the group "National Republican Army" did not exist prior to today. I suppose it is possible something was lost in translation.

A few of the details do sound familiar: radical group nobody has ever heard of, posting a manifesto, killing civilians. Sounds a lot like the domestic attacks by people known to the FBI over the last decade here in America.

No, car bombings are not popular “here in America.” Not at all.
