Man yalls reading comprehension skills are something to behold. Apparently telling someone that they don't understand how the US spend has been used means I need to enlist and want US soliders on the ground. Yall are a special kind of stupid

Poland and other Eastern European countries are putting money where there mounts are and are helping Ukraine. England is helping too.

It’s ironic that many herd consider France and Germany leaning left, and they suggest we mimic them.

1. Russia is the most corrupt country on the European continent.

2. When was the last time that you were in Europe and spoke to the locals about the war? I was in Europ It’s just comical that this thread somehow thinks Europe completely aligns with their war mongering world view and that they’re going to tolerate having to gladly sacrifice a shite ton of their modern day comforts for the most corrupt country in all of Europe less than a month ago. Every person on the train ride from Warsaw to the Ukrainian border blamed Russia for the higher energy costs and wanted Russia to suffer. Almost every person that I spoke to during my 12 hour layover in London blamed Russia for the war and the higher price of energy and didn’t want to give into Russia just so their energy prices would go down. Same thing on my return trip when I had an 8 hour layover in Paris. The ppl in London, Poland, and Paris all wanted their governments to find a way to lower energy costs, but the vast majority didn’t want their governments to do so by sacrificing Ukraine to Russia. They were pissed that Trump was right when he said Europe had become addicted to Russian gas and they didn’t want to continue that addiction. They wanted an expansion of nuclear energy, more green energy (yes they are still brainwashed over there), diversification of their natural gas supply, and they even wanted the coal plants restarted until they could diversify their gas sources.

3. Once again you are talking out of your arse.

but this thread writ large when it comes to being warned on how this war is going to end:

Hurry, send your contributions today. Don't wait, call before 4pm and we'll throw in a tactical drone for every two pieces of artillery we send.

This offer only lasts until 4p, do your part today.

Wait, there's more... Act within the hour and we'll include 5 M982 Excalibur shells for free. This is an offer you can't refuse...

The war will end, our equipment ends up in the wrong hands, again. That's how it works every single time.

They are both sending equipment to Ukraine now and training the Ukrainians on winter warfare tactics to get them ready to fight if it’s a cold winter.

We need to have a serious discussion about sending our full military force in dont you think?

Naah, the current setup where (in effect) I bought some baw and his family a nice steak dinner for working overtime at the Javelin factory works out better for me, sitting over here in the USA and watching Vladimir "F-35 salesman of the year" Putin get a bloody nose.

Our entire Army, and stash of equipment, was NEVER going to directly defend US soil....it's all built up for overseas operations, and pretty specifically for use against Russia/Ex-USSR.

Tanks aren't rolling in from Canada or Mexico anytime soon, and an amphibious attack on the mainland US is a pipe dream (Russian troop buildup on Cuba would be the only possible way, and that would be telegraphed at least a year out). This is EXACTLY per the Truman doctrine which has been the US standard since, well, Truman.

So, our weapons are being used exactly how they're designed, and against the exact opponent that justified their existence to begin with - with the added bonus of not having our own kids out there in the line of fire.

On top of that, keeping the defense industrial industry at capacity only helps us going forward if (and when) China decides to act up. Having a backlog of F-16 and F-35 orders is a good thing, and justifies hiring and maintaining expertise at those facilities, should a WWII style scale up ever be needed. With a good chunk of those being overseas sales (driven both by loss of equipment in this war, and loss of confidence in Russian made equipment going forward), this gets accomplished without US taxpayer money.

The dirty reality is if we want a military stocked with modern, well maintained, and battle tested equipment - it's going to have to be used periodically. No better place to use it than against one of our main competitors in a foreign land, operated by foreign soldiers while our guys are safely hanging out in Poland chugging beers and flirting with the local women.

If only there were wealthy nations in Europe who are actually affected, who could fund this war...

If only...

The aid vs GDP tells a different story than "no one else". But don't let facts get in your way, they never do.

Many of the countries giving the most know Russia the best.

Yeah 0% didn't seem right to me either. Just a quick search but LINK article from Feb 28th approving 3M euro in aid for Ukraine.

Their GDP in 2019 was 223B Euro. So just that one aid package would get them over 0% but not a lot (0.001%). I'll see if I can find more but I'll agree it seems off to be a flat zero

ETA this is a pretty good summary from Wikipedia that shows aid by country LINK

It also only shows 3M euro worth of aid given to Ukraine, but also states they are hosting a bunch of refugees so take that as you will

I'm not. I don't consider Estonia to be one of the "wealthy nations of Europe." But you may not understand economics worth a shite which puts you in the class of the very average person.

The better Ukraine does, the better they do with our weapons, the more some of you protest.

Why is that?
