If the USA goes isolationist, then watch all trade shrivel up like the testicles you once had. Tariffs out the wazoo worse than it already is for US goods abroad. Intellectual property ownership goes poof. Brain trust advances abroad and not here.
Your standard of living shrinks quickly.
Dude you have zero clue how the world at large actually works. Being respected, even feared overseas is a really big deal and no one actually respects a wimp foreign policy, no more than any wimp was respected on the school yard in my day

And if Ukraine loses how we look?

C'mon bro, this is only a little bit about Ukraine,
And you keep speaking in absolutes, there isnt going to be a "winner" and both countries involved lose. We are facilitating the Russians losing everything they have.

Russia's ground up military is how it already looks to me. Sure Russia made a few shekels on sales of oil but overall, their economy is pretty well fricked up. They do have a lot of scrap iron for sale though aka decades behind the West military

Eh, most of that is in Ukraine.

What else it is about? Our commitment to allies? Russia attacking another country? Russia has already proven they’re a paper tiger. There’s no one else in Europe left to attack that isn’t a part of NATO.

Yeah they wont even be that when the dust settles.

Well Russia has to get all the way through Ukraine for that to happen

Ukraine was lost in 2014 after USA and UK let Russia take Crimea and part of the Donbas.
HUSSIEN & brain dead Biden cost Ukraine their land and possibly their sovereignty.

Obama's quotes from back then were interesting. It looks like he was receiving pressure to get involved.

Russians no longer consider their ships to be safe in Crimea? That’s a significant change. An acknowledgment of the presence of longer range artillery, perhaps?

I do find this element interesting - Obama stayed out by disagreeing with the “establishment” that we typically think of him as being part of and looked weak, but here’s Biden having very successful action on the same issue. I get Biden is but a puddle of goop just being trotted out as some sort of face of the nation, but Biden and Obama will forever be linked and “chose” two very different paths on the same general issue.
In some sense, Obama and Trump could be mavericks just in opposite directions, but we don’t see Obama that way. Obama defied the establishment and went on his apology tour, projected weakness and redlines that weren’t enforced that lead to war and terrorism. He didn’t confront Russia on Crimea despite Russia being the establishments consistent boogeyman. Trump defied the establishment on basically everything pre-covid, aside from vast military spending that obviously aids the MIC. But he wouldn’t shut up, he pushed the boundaries and freaked them the frick out on NK, Iran, China. Then he’d push the envelop further than they want with action. He took out Solemani that Obama and Bush both were presented opportunities too. They all thought WWIII was starting over his rhetoric with KJU and taking out Solemani.
In some odd way on foreign policy it looks like they both bucked the establishment in their own way. I think what we’re seeing from Biden is fully establishment driven, even if in this case I do largely agree with it as much as I hate to agree with that.

Yes they are. What is more interesting is that the assessment of American core interests and American policy has not changed. We have not committed US troops to conflict. We are not at war with Russia. The Ukrainians are fighting back without US troops.
