No I said cut off all funding and trade with them. I think I said that Obama should have said the following after Bin Laden’s assassination:
“And Pakistan, we should nuke you back into the Stone Age for harboring Bin Laden, but the good news for y’all is you’re basically already there. So instead we’re going to cut off all foreign aid and trade with y’all this day going forward. Have fun rebuilding after your next earthquake.”
And you do know there’s an alternate reality where Trump did it. I’d love to see that speech if he did it.

Now’s a good time for an update from WeeWee.
Seems those two reports are timely given Russia finally breaking through in anything close to significant. WeeWee has consistently held the Ukrainians would regroup mid-end of summer to push the Russians back. Makes sense with updates we’ve seen on Russias use of conscripts and throwing everything at singular objectives unable to make progress on multiple fronts at once.

Dude, World War III is completely on the table when it comes to Taiwan. It’s not like Ukraine where there are tons of reasons that island is important. It quite frankly the most important island in the world, even over Britain, Java, and Honshu. It’s hard to understate it’s importance on the world stage. Ukraine is pennies compared to Taiwan’s Benjamins. It is the crown jewel and makes perfect sense why China is obsessed with taking it.

I’m relatively confident you’re misremembering it. I’ve said that paragraph a couple of times on here. I’ve also said that when Obama was once asked what keeps him up at night that he said “Pakistan.” Why Pakistan? Oh right because they’re a religious cult with nukes and crazy enough to use them if things go to shite. I despise Pakistan as a country.
Pakistanis and Americans fricking hate each other, and for good reason. They were the population that most got into tussles with Americans more than any other country by far when I was in Beijing. It got tense if a couple of Americans and a couple of Pakistanis were in the same bar in Beijing back in 2010-2012. The feeling was absolutely mutual between us.

I didn't have that experience in Pakistan itself. Nor have I seen that in the hospital environment, where there are plenty of Pakistani doctors. I've been all over South Asia too.
I'd caution against using your own experience as the framework for geopolitics, because it generally isn't a reliable indicator of anything.

Yeah, the good news is it’s not looking like my worst case scenario is going to play out in the very near future. The bad news is this isn’t worth a blank check to Ukraine which we have basically given them.

Keep in mind I was living there like a month after Bin Laden was killed and we all knew the government hid them. Tensions were high. Yeah Pakistan I agree that’s not likely to happen, but in Beijing where the cops don’t give one frick about foreigners fighting with one another and it was a no man’s land for both of us, yeah tensions rose quickly in that city.
Dated a chick over there that had some Pakistani friends, and she was clear on how much they hated Americans and wanted us to die. Different environment than now, and I doubt tensions would be as high today as they were back then.
