re: Last week on the job

When I've given a month notice, it was always clear that I was there as a resource. Not to continue doing my job.
I was there to make sure the company didn't lose money.
And to repeatedly make my boss feel stupid for realizing too late that the power dynamic wasn't what he thought it was.

shite, my last week at my previous job I worked two 20 hour days and the rest of them I was pretty much killing myself as well. I drew the line when my boss wanted me to fly to Boston for a big presentation the day before my last day. Only reason I put that time in was because I liked and felt bad for the people I worked with and wanted to maintain those relationships and contacts. My friends thought I was kind of crazy and I probably was.

Why are you participating in emails? If anybody needs you bad enough, they know where to find you, right?
And if your soon-to-be-ex-boss is calling out grammatical mistakes in your last week, I'd definitely drop that prick from the remainder of my emails forever.

I don't have time to think about a proper course of action right now. If you could just leave his e-mail addy, I will get to him when my time is not at such a premium.
I am sure that many people will get with him before the end of this weekend. TIA

how do you handle the last week in the job?

You already seem to know the answer.
Also assert your dominance the last day by leaving an upper decker.
