Dumb.
1. Theres no room in the mini fridges
2. Just make sure you clear it out before the cleaning people get there

I got stuck in Vegas for a couple nights back in February. I hadn’t been there since I was about 10 years old and while the sites were certainly impressive it got real old when my bar tab for 3 drinks was over $100.

Add in the fact that you don’t need Vegas for sports betting anymore and I really don’t see any reason to ever go back and certainly get why people aren’t going anymore

I've been going 3 - 4 times a year for the last 5 years. Was there at the end of June. It certainly wasn't as crowded as normal. Everyone w was complaining about prices on the strip. And $25 minimums and 6:5 blackjack is for the birds. I can go to my local place, play $10 3:2 blackjack and eat cheaply. No real reason to go to Vegas if I'm going to play at Ellis Island instead of Venetian. I can get the same deal 30 minutes from my house and not have to deal with airlines, resort fees, and $12 Ultras. My Vegas days are over until they come to their senses. And I think a lot of people are in the same boat.

Bar tab for 3 drinks was $100? Or just put in $20 and play video poker with a chance of winning. Clueless

Most tourist, which the thread is about, do not leave the strip. Or very touristy areas.

Maybe you should for all the reasons previously stated. Youre judging a place by 10% of it bc you havent ventured out.

The resort fees that they now tack on to your lodging are criminal.

This is the most hipster take yet. Everyone should go to Vegas to get that authentic off strip experience.

Venetian

Stayed there when we saw The Eagles @ the Sphere.

Prices, autograts, and fees are OOC.

Won't be back in Vegas, likely ever.

Ive been 3x in the past 5 years and it's gotten more ridiculous each time. Plus, skunk weed odor is starting to rival NOLA.

Every tourist centric city says this.

95% of the tourist come for the 10%.

Doesnt make the rest any less than it is, but it aint bringing tourists from around the world.

Went to vegas within the past year, hadn't been in a very long time, was shocked by the sad, filthy, dystopian hell I saw. Everything expensive and non sensical. Not for me

I did conferences in Vegas for about 6 straight years. Usually at Aria and Cosmopolitan. I’m not a heavy gambler or drinker but I never once got offered a drink in all 6 years. Hit on by high end hookers everywhere I went.

Went with a group to Fremont and never paid for a drink and got involved in numerous bachelor/bachelorette parties living it up and legit hit on by non prostitutes. Never cheated, got drunk, or anything but it was what I thought of Vegas growing up in the 80s and 90s. It was good old fashioned fun without being gross.

The new strip is just overpriced sexuality and mediocre food.

f the idea is that higher prices will lead to a higher class clientele then the prices need to be substantially higher

That’s the new business model. Attract a wealthier demographic and weed out the gutter trash.

I think it’s two things.

Value - the prices are out if control, and what they offer can increasingly be had in other cities closer to home. Vegas was built on cheap rooms and buffets and gambling that - while the house still won - offered decent odds.

International visitors - big draw to Vegas and there are simply less international people coming to the USA now. Disney is dealing with this as well

When convention business picks up in fall, it will be better.

Inflation. Also, Vegas had lots of foreign tourists and that's way down now.
