Get a full sized Ranger Rover.

And get a late model Mark III instead of the Mark IV.

I like the non sport better than the sport. Sport rear end look's bad compared to the full size

Plus the sport doesn't have a full sizzle drop tailgate.

Anyone own this car and what are your thoughts? Heard the problem SUVs were all before 2013. Taxes have me looking at buying one before the 31st since it's over 6k and mpg is below 22.5. Serious question on this not a troll.
Make sure to allow for the 6k a year for a towing company to follow you - especially on interstate travel.

Quite literally any car that qualifies for this tax break would be better than a land rover. These cars are all hat and no cattle and over time eat up any tax savings you may have in repairs and shite falling apart. They are just not good automobiles to own.

Ford never made the investment in Rover that they made in Jaguar and it shows.

Rover is better than it was, but still has a long way to go. They are on my "do not own" list.

Let's see Rover make the JD Power list for a few years, and then maybe you buy it.

You know that's only for businesses right? Not personal vehicles.

I'm more interested in the tax break.

I've got 2 weeks before I've gotta give up too much money to you know who.

Can you explain the advantage to me?

Why let a tax break dictate what car you purchase? Seems ridiculous.

Serious question.

I have 2015 and yes they are pricey mine cost $115k with all the options.
You can get Mercedes GL 450 for around $75k, so yes Range Rover is proud of their vehicles.

I looked in BR but they wanted me to finance instead of paying cash. I said no and they really didn't want my business after that. They are also not as aggressive as the dealer in Georgia in selling you a vehicle.

I bought one with panoramic roof in Georgia. Less bull, treated me well, and had what I wanted on the lot.

Yes, they do breakdown more than other brands but I like mine.

If you look at the vehicle he's considering, surely you understand that a tax break isn't "dictating" what he drives.

He's simply weighing a situation; is it advantagous to purchase a vehicle rather than paying X amount in taxes.

There are worse decisions to be contemplating...

If you can get all the bonus depreciation and all that stuff it can seriously lower your tax bill for a business. I think in 2013 when I bought my f250 for work it lowered my tax liability like 17k.
