Yeah this is where I have been staying about 5 minutes to everywhere. I passed that HoJo and thought frick this looks like shite.

i mean LC doesn't have too many murders
but goddamn you're picking one of the worst hotels to stay at. there is no reason to stay there if you're a civilian

Lake Charles is not that big of a city. With that being said you can stay at one of the new hotels on prien lake and make it to downtown, if that's the area you are trying to be close to, in less than 10 minutes. I'm not sure why Howard Johnson would even be an option.
