Crap. My brother works there -- nights in a prof spot. Hope he's safe from this and I feel for those who are not safe.

I have a friend in LC who is saying he and other's are switching to ATT because they are below ground. Sudden Link network there is above ground.

I don't know how extensive the ATT network is around LC.

Stout - please share how you did this. I’m located off Holly Hill, a “contractor” for Suddenlink pulled brand new overhead line a week and a half ago, I can see the line still not terminated at the pole. Sub said we would be good in 3-4 days (obviously knew he didn’t know) but if you can point me in the right direction that would be great. One Kid started schools today and the other is enrolled in online only at McNeese.... AT&T LTE is spotty for us at the moment. Had to add hotspot ability to their phone plans just so they could do school work.

What did y'all say in your FCC complaint? I'm in Sulphur and my line is still connected to the pole. Most everyone else's is laying in the street. The wire appears in tact running down the road though.

My parents spoke with Suddenlink linemen in their neighborhood within the last couple days and were told Suddenlink is replacing every cable drop from road to home, whether severed or not. If your line wasn’t cut, expect it to be, in other words. Were told to expect 150 linemen assigned to nothing but these cable drops.

I always forget those are back there. Passed by Chosen Valley the other day and man, it took a hit.

I mean, I know everywhere did, but I guess when I pass by something I haven’t seen since the storm it surprises me. Would think I would be used to it by now.

+75% in chosen v are really bad, we out for 6-8 mos depending on how fast gc can get in and out. Tons of Lil Rascals llc contractors on roofs. Pulled up yesterday and had one shopping my curbside and Loading up.

That sucks man, my brother is going through the same shite. He lives near the lake and his street was probably one of the worst I’ve seen.

Hang in there and I hope they can get you back in your home as soon as possible.

Where the heck is Chosen Valley? Not familiar at all with that area — basically know how to get to my brothers house in MB.

Got my call from Allstate today, and should have a check by middle of the week. I was the second house our adjuster saw on August 31st, and 4 weeks later they give me the starting number. I will say it is a fair number and should get me most of the way back. Full roof replace and full gut of the interior. I'm hearing 6-9 months til we are back...

Payment from state farm came in this morning. Not enough to cover everything but a good starting point. Waiting on the claim summary to see what they did and didn't cover

Information from my estimate; pay attention to fencing, mine was cedar and they paid for treated, paid for 41 squares but gc counted 56 (eagle eye didn't account for waste). After speaking with desk idiots manager she agreed my $297/sq was a good price so supplemental will be paid for gc's number and fence was bumped to include premium for cedar.
Water remediation company is a direct contractor for liberty so they will direct bill.

Of the ~6 people I knew who got Suddenlink restored at their home or business, 4 have since lost service.

Received my summary Friday, waiting on the check. Mostly a starting point for me too, can’t decide if adjuster just told me what I wanted to hear in person or his notes just sucked.
