Too bad the Cisco was so full of shite. We may never know...but wouldn't doubt his last story..but no known link between Richard and Cisco was uncovered,?

I believe they both knew Stacie Reeves is the only connection between the 2. The popular opinion around here was Richard was involved mostly based off his reputation in the area. Huey Littelton helped fuel Richard’s reputation with his allegations surrounding the earlier Ellender murders.
If anything this show may garner some sympathy for Richard. Wayne didn’t really do much for his perception.

i was young when all this happened, just starting HS. but remember the rumors of the sheriff being pretty corrupt and his son being involved in the murders and the ellender murders. dunno how true they were though.
also know at that time, swla was pretty rough as far as corruption goes, the drugs, fighting etc. it was a union town for the most part back then and rough as frick.
glad for the most part that shite has been cleaned up. say what you want about mancusso but he took over a steam pile of shite of a department and him & stitch have cleaned that shite up and cleaned house at any hint of an issue. Ill keep my opinions of chief dixon to myself

McElveen was Sheriff in Calcasieu Parish, not Jeff Davis...After McElveen retired, several Deputies from Calcasieu Parish went to work in Jeff Davis...

I’m no expert on this case, but how do you figure the guy was innocent? He pled guilty to doing it and was somewhat surprisingly released on parole after 23 years in Angola.

IIRC, it was Lake Charles' Satanic Panic story.

Sheriff Wayne McElveen ran the coke industry in SWLA in the 90's this was no secret at all. I was in college at the time and knew every single person in those circles. As a college student we would partake in a lil nose candy from time to time. I can still take you to the 3-4 spots we would meet for pickup. Main place was the port as back then it was easy access and a ton of dark corners to get in and not be seen and still basically "in town" and close to everything. Richard McElveen is Wayne son and he handled most of the day to day for his dad. Richard had several runners that would meet you for pickup. Stacey and also her "friend" Kevin Able that "committed suicide" just weeks before the KK incident. Richard also had other runners with initial's D.R., S.B. L.G. and also knew a couple McNeese football players that ran for side money or played security for Richard when needed. Stacie was suppose to pay up on Kevin's debt. So Richard killed her and the other 2 just happened to be in the store and were collateral damage so to speak. The guy that took the fall was a coached confession as he was so high on coke, heroin and crack he had zero clue where he was. But he was also in debt to McElveen so he took it all to clear his problems and not die. I firmly and whole heartedly believe that Tom Cisco was not within 10 miles of KK's when it went down. No one will ever be able to change my mind EVER. Now the victims families have came to this realization as well after these years and they also spoke on behalf of Tom at the parole hearing.

One More Shot's post is very accurate and spot on...

I saw representatives of the victims' families speak on KPLC. Why do you suppose that they would advocate the release of Cisco if he has never been forthcoming as to the identity actual killer or his suspicions because of his involvement.
It does not seem to honor the deceased.

Just reported that his parole has been rescinded for “contraband infraction that was failed to be reported”

Never knew the corruption ran so deep in SWLA.

I don’t know how it is in other places of the state but I find it harder to be more corrupt than SWLA

I saw a FB comment from one of the victims brothers saying that Cisco was prescribed Benadryl but didn’t take it when he was supposed to and got found with it in his pocket. Don’t know how true that is just what I read

He was innocent. There is ALOT more to this story that people dont know. He pled guilty to keep his family and his children beeathing. I wouldve done the same. He didnt stand a chance. The entire judicial system not only failed him but set him up. Even the victims' families spoke on his behalf and want him released. His parole hearing video was released and he said in his hearing he was NOT the shooter. Richard is a sick SOB ans he is responsible for many many more deaths after these homicides. He has lost his chiropractor license and he is a drug addict.

He has been forthcoming with them. They know what happened and they have fought tirelessly for years to prove it. Coeeuption runs very deep in Calcasieu. Its not only about drugs and power, but also prostitution, pedophilia, corrupt judges and politicians, drug addicted attorneys, casinos, business ownerships and SO SO MUCH MORE. Lake Charles is a huge port. You do the math. Edwin Edwards didnt help to corrupt Calcasieu just because it was a nice place to reside.

Cisco had been ill with a stomach virus. He had been placing his meds in a can for a few days until he was able to resume taking his meds again. He was cleaning up his cell and placed them in his pocket to go out to the trash and throw them when a shakedown insued and he had them in his possession. Knowing how hard Cisco and his team had been fighting to get to his parole hearing, there is no way in hell that he wouldve risked it all on not taking his benadryl.
