Every mile not spent on i10 through that gauntlet is worth it. Some portions of 90 are 70mph now! It's also a nice back country drive.

Depends on the time of day. If it’s at night after 8 PM or morning before 8 AM take I-10, otherwise you take hwy 90.

With normal traffic flow going anywhere north/west of Lafayette to NO CBD, 90 is 30 minutes slower. But the decision 100% depends on destination and time of day. Good to avoid BR both ways between 7:30-10:30am and 3-7pm. Surprisingly only caught bad delays 2 or 3 times crossing the Basin, but I check the map apps during the trip to know if I need to change plans.

Also a lot of people are starting their trip on the WB or pretty far south of I-10 in Lafayette. Either of those and the time difference is significantly less taking 90. However 167/90 from I-10 to Broussard can be horrible during the AM and PM rush and can eat up all the time you save avoiding BR.

I’d always take 90. The bridge traffic and potential basin bridge traffic are an epic clusterfrick worth avoiding

Hwy 90 always takes me 2.5 hrs from NOLA to Laffy. Always.

I-10 can take 2 hrs on a good day, but can take 3 on a shitty day.

I live in Vermilion parish close to 14, and my 504 peeps are on the West Bank in Marrero so 90 is way faster for me.

If you’re headed downtown instead of the West Bank, you can always pop up on 310 and get back to I-10 right by the airport.

Nah, take 90 all the way to the Huey P or the GNO

Avoid I10 at all cost especially until they get that airport flyover finished.

Depends on if there's a wait at the barber shop.

An added bonus of taking 90 is you get to count the number of dead alligators on the side of the road.

Hwy 90 from 311 in Houma to Bridge City/Westwego has all been repaved in the last 5 years.

The bad is elevated portion around Amelia sucks. Feels like you riding in a boat and you need to trim down.

If you're heading from Laffy, it's a couple miles past the LA1/LA308--Grand Isle exit on the right

This is not true. Not smooth 50% of the way. Left lane is better, but, no where close to smooth.
