I definitely see what you’re saying. I’ll just leave this hint. There was a strip of bars on the north side that were all shut down a few years ago and all of their customer base moved to downtown.

It’s a 50% budget increase for the sheriffs office. Can you imagine what Lafayette could do with $25 million a year besides this?
It’s a no for me.

Downtown is way better during the day but the late night scene has gotten ghetto since 2014 or so

Reve, Wurst, Central, Pop’s, Rock n Bowl, etc have all been good additions

Would a yes or no vote get Verot School Road and Kaliste Saloom Extension projects complete before the Baton Rouge loop is completed?

Rock n bowl is awesome. When I went it was a much older crowd though. Not sure if it’s always like that.

Seems like Jefferson street had a good thing going for themselves, but the downtown vibe the past 7 or so years has worsened.

You definitely have not been downtown lately.

Voting yes on the split. The consolidation did away with the mayor and council for Lafayette but all the other cities kept their mayor and council. That’s bullshite. This vote at least somewhat corrects that.
