Lady has a seizure while driving on the interstate

Luckily she only hit a light pole and not other cars. People with seizures should not be allowed to drive. Oh and Florida.

A lot of people who have a random seizure like that have no prior history. But this is another pro for autonomous cars.

There are some kind of restrictions surrounding it...you can't drive for something like 6 months after having a seizure....

But how would we know she has the condition? As an American, she has a right to no illegal search and seizure.

They arent.
You have to be siezure free for 6 months to be able too.
But i think anyone with heart disease shouldnt be allowed to drive. They might have a heart attack at any moment

100% no BS story. My SO's 17 year old son was given a truck by a family friend. 2012 Dodge 3/4 ton or some shite. He went to their house not knowing what was up and given the truck. Crazy excited. So, he leaves about 30 minutes later, drives about half a mile and takes a right on a highway. Right into the setting sun... drives about 1000 feet, drives off the road, up an embankment and hits a tree. Totaled. DPS arrives at the hospital and long story short, no truck, no license for 180 days all because he said he had a seizure due to the sun. Testing since then confirmed petit mal.

Yep. My wife had a reaction to medicine at the dentist office and had a seizure. Couldn't drive for 6 months. It sucked

Dude driving a big rig on I-10 the other day crashed his truck. Could have killed himself and took out a lot of other people.
He told the cops he had been to the doctor recently for diabetes problems. They think he had a diabetic seizure.
Pretty scary to think about.

I've been epileptic since I was 12, but took medicine that controlled my seizures. Mine are normally nocturnal, so even if I had one, I wasn't a danger to other people. My seizures all occurred in bed, while I slept. I would know I'd had one, when I woke up feeling just like I had a hangover, and hadn't drank.
I was diagnosed with Lupus at 34. My Rheumatologist changed up my medicine, because the medicine I'd taken effectively for 22 years, could cause drug induced Lupus. On the new medicine, I had multiple seizures during the day, and couldn't drive for a whole years.
I had to get rides to, and from work, or take a bus. My boss took me out to see my customers. I had to get rides to the grocery store. I was lucky I had been at my job for 10 year. The craziest part of my situation was not only was the new medicine not keeping me from having seizures, it made me so nervous, I was grinding my teeth. I had a couple in my sleep, where I got up and walked around. I broke a window one night, and woke up in my bathtub with the shower curtain pulled down on top of me. I broke a chandelier in my dining room during one on a different night.
I had to take that medicine for six months for them to tell if the other medicine was causing my Lupus. Once I got back on the old medicine, I didn't have seizures. I just had more medicine to take for the Lupus.
