He was a part of the greatest college football season in history. For that I wish him well and will not disparage him.

I assume this was about the shite with his ex-wife and his earnings and all that?

I don't know all the details about it, but the little I know seems like he's kinda getting fricked, no? What was their reasoning for denying?

Kinda surprised mainly just because a lot of family law attorneys have remarked what a horrible precedent the ruling sets.

Dumbass signed his new contract right before filing for divorce.

The rehearing being denied just means they support the decision and won't revisit it.

I haven't read the case, but I think it's due to the contract being signed prior to filing for divorce. His attorneys argued the buyout was similar to severance, and her attorneys argued it was a buyout of a contract she was owed half of.

Dumbass dumped his wife to bang whores

And he timed the dumping of the wife very poorly

He’s always been trashy and dumb. His handling of the contract/divorce is hardly shocking.

apparently tried to change the start date too

quote:

after the Binding Terms had been approved by LSU and Ed, a surreptitious request was made to LSU by Ed’s agent on his behalf. The agent sought a change to a major provision of the Binding Contract. He wanted the effective date of an already executed contract changed. He asked to change the true effective date of January 14, 2020 to a new date, April 23, 2020.

In this writer’s opinion this was an audacious, nearly fraudulent attempt to move the effective contract date away from that which had been created and existed during the community property regime. As Ed was already working under the new contract this made no sense, except for one major upheaval. A “new start date”would have placed the contract provisions into the time frame of the separate property regime of Ed.

This was an attempt to convert community property into separate property. Had this been accomplished, the financial security provided to bothEd and Kelly via the “termination without cause”provision in the community property contract would have been converted to the benefit of only Ed as the sole owner, not the owner of an undivided one-half interest

Community property is supposed to end the day someone files for divorce. This is garbage.

I imagine whomever was advising him in early 2020 is very happy about the 3 year preemptive period on malpractice
