I got word today that the LA is *most likely* going to a re-impose some phase one restrictions, most notably shutting down all bars and have restaurants go back to 25% capacity. Their data shows a big spike in cases for low risk young people and officials are concerned about a spike in older people catching it over the next few weeks when their sick college age kids/grand kids go home for the 4th.
I hope the person is FOS but they are in on the daily covid meetings with la.gov. Is anyone else hearing the same thing?

You mean have thousands in the streets without mask and marching was a bad idea? Asking for a friend

It wasn’t the protesters or the hundreds that showed up to a party on Baronne in the CBD, it was the Newman grad party and Fred’s. Hell, the radio is quoting Avegno saying 7/100 people will die from not wearing the mask.

Umm, sir, it's the Ohio State University or tOSU. Those super scary poisonous nuts don't capitalize the "T" in the.

Seems like it would be too late at this point then. We only have one day in between.

So the little guys will be repeatedly nut blasted and the Walmarts and Home Depots will continue humming along without a hitch.

Bars will probably be closed next week if numbers keep going up. Numerous other states have done the same thing.

I was referring to college age kids coming back home from a weekend of socializing/drinking where the only precautions taken is drinking things strong enough to be hand sanitizer.

They aren't about to shut the casinos down again.

Nothing drastic changed from yesterday to today

If he’s concerned with old people he needs to close casinos 1st since they were given lighter restrictions than restaurants

Exactly so every business needs to ignore new restrictions

He shot his wad not doing anything about protests

Shutting stuff down in July is a measure to extend fed unemployment which is set to expire 7/31
Don’t fall for it, until hospitalizations start dramatically increasing FROM Covid, not someone having a knee replacement that test positive WITH Covid, there’s nothing to worry about if you social distance & wash your hands

So dumb. Anyone could have told you there was going to be a spike. What counts is hospitalizations and deaths continuing to fall. It’s so political
