How does Arizona get by this law?
Arizona stopped using DST more than 50 years ago. Mostly, due to the oppressive summer heat. It's able to continue to do so because of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
The Navajo Nation areas recognize DST, since their lands also extend into Utah and New Mexico. So, they're an hour ahead of the rest of the state.

I haven't really noticed DST ever since I got an Iphone in 2008.
I use it exclusively as my alarm clock and I don't ever have to change the clock as it is done automatically for me. Every now & again, I notice it's still bright at night & vice versa, but that's about it.
I don't work outside, so my job is unaffected by the surplus or lack of sunlight available. I don't work weekends so the time change happens without me ever noticing anything different.
Am I alone?

I am surprised at the amount of people not wanting to stay on this time all year long. I have always wanted to stay on DST and not switch as well as most people I know. This would be one positive thing this state has done this year

It's hot enough in this state, the less sun to deal with the better.
I'm also a burn survivor so sensitive scars and sun dont mix well for me. I've turned into a pseudo vampire because of it.
Also standard time is well the standard. Mid day is the actual middle of the day and midnight is the actually middle of the night.
Why not just stay on standard time as they did before inventing dst?
We have lights now, on everything.

After stopping the communist revolution and repealing Obamacare, this is my next biggest issue. No lie.

Isn't Hawaii the other state that doesn't observe DST?
