Somebody check the contingency fee rules in GA and then try to figure out where the extra few percentage went.
Edit: I’m surprised the attorneys didn’t need an extra 50k in expert witness fees.

One of the reasons I fought was so people did NOT have to shut their mouths, maybe you fought for different ideals.

It pays to kneel looks like. Maybe I should start kneeling.

Hijacking the national anthem at a large sport event as form of protest is like blocking the streets. It is how to make people fricking hate you and your cause.

Not the same at all actually. Blocking streets directly impedes upon someone's life. People are delayed getting to their destination. Someone is late to work, a job interview, the hospital, etc.
You can literally look past someone kneeling as they don't directly affect your life at all. Look at the flag and not them. They can easily be ignored.

People who don’t understand the first amendment are the worst. F this girl and GA for bending over for her when none of her rights were violated whatsoever.

Well-compensated according to whom?! Hate to even be associated with someone who would post that, even if by alma mater. I worked more hours in a weekend shift than a lot of folks work in a work week. And who tf is asking for a thank you? The kneeling bs is drama queens needing attention. Lots of folks have died for that flag/anthem and those ninnies right to kneel, so at least have the respect to stand for the anthem. You want to protest police brutality, fine, but how exactly is that protesting police brutality?
No one's getting rich in the military, but it's not a bad career. You'd have to look pretty hard to find a private organization that offers the kind of defined-benefit retirement package that the military does, for example. There's no such thing as a housing allowance or on-base housing in the private sector, either.
I agree it's a terrible form of protest, though. Yeah, the cops are out of control, but when that's turned into a racial thing and used as a way to irk white people or patriotic people, that's extremely counterproductive.
It's almost like Kaepernick, etc., don't actually care about advancing their stated cause and just want attention or money.

Kaepernick is a disingenuous spoiled brat, but he actually did some good in his off time for his causes.
I don’t support his kneeling or agree with his opinions but he did put some of his money where his mouth was.

Yeah yeah yeah, my point is that protesting at a sport event during the national anthem is ineffective and inflammatory. The athletes that do this lose the respect of many people that might have otherwise been sympathetic to their cause.

And the idiots trying to stop people from kneeling are even more retarded. Been to plenty of UCF games where people in the stands stay seated drinking beer and eating nachos. More disrespectful than kneeling and these aren't people in the cheap seats.
I don't care what people do to be honest. But their cause is just made up. Cops aren't hunting blacks down in the streets. It's a bullshite protest. If this girl is from Cobb county, she is not oppressed.
And how is kneeling at a KSU sporting event even protesting police brutality? Why don't they take their cause to the uhh, police station. Protest there.

First, she is not ugly. Please.
Second, enough with the Afro stereo-types in taking a tasteless jab.
Third, not a fan of the law suit......

I agree the kneeling has actually become a selfish/lazy way to protest in that it’s a “look at me” moment for many.
If the desire is for true impact to change, do something of merit and true investment of effort......like picket the police stations. Granted, like anything there are bad apples in any bunch. So, I say investigate areas that may show true anomalies with police injustice (that’s part of the effort part) and protest at ground zero. Protesting a law enforcement department that is doing the right things is dumb and offensive to those LEOs.

Misleading title made me think a K-State cheerleader got caught blowing someone for cash at a party.

Correct. It’s none of your business how someone else silently observes the anthem. The anthem isn’t an opportunity for you to be a hall monitor
You comment was referring to people ignoring the anthem to judge other people's actions. This is not the case here. Nobody is ignoring the anthem in this thread, the anthem is not even being played in this thread. This is people reacting after the actual act of kneeling.
